My alarm went off at seven, just because I'm Avia, and Avia needs time to get ready in the morning. Brailee and I didn't need to leave for the airport until ten, but like I said, my face takes time.

I rolled out of bed and slammed my hand on the alarm clock, shutting it off. I made my bed quickly, placing the decorative pillows in their places. Walking over to my closet, I tried to figure out what to wear today. I was only going to pick up the kids, it wasn't like I was going to a really public place like dinner or the mall. I decided on skinny jeans and a floral tank top, figuring that was comfortable and decent enough. I grabbed my grey Old Navy flip flops from my closet and brought them out to the living room to save me from having to open my closet again. Out of all the things I cleaned yesterday, my closet was not one of them.

I walked into my connected bathroom, going straight over to my sink and mirror spot. I opened one of the drawers below the sink and began applying my make up. I didn't put too much on, just simple mascara and lip gloss. Afterwards, I decided to curl my hair, thinking it would look nice with the outfit. I put the heat protectant stuff in, then slowly curled my hair.

Once all of my beauty type things were done and over with, I walked out into the hall. I grabbed my phone from my back pocket and checked the time. Eight fifteen. I had an hour and forty five minutes left to myself, before I had to deal with people. I'm a morning person...if I'm alone. I need at least an hour to myself in the mornings before I go insane. Once I have my hour to myself, I'm fine to be around people.

After checking the time and placing my phone back in my back pocket, I made my way to the kitchen and took out a packet of oatmeal. Brailee and I were planning on taking Emmi and Daxton to iHop for brunch, so I didn't want to eat too much.

Placing my oatmeal in the microwave, I turned the radio that was connected to the bottom of the cabinet and sang along to the music, drumming my fingers on the counter. I almost hit a knife that was randomly on the counter and laughed nervously, slowly putting it back into the drawer. I must have forgotten to put it away when I was cutting the watermelon last night.

The microwave beeped, signaling that my oatmeal was done. I carefully grabbed the bowl and a spoon from the drawer, and made my way to the living room couch. Sitting down, I grabbed the remote and turned on a re-run of Glee, a show I became obsessed with once I turned twelve. I came across it on Netflix, and every so often I go back and watch an episode or two in the mornings.

Thirty minutes into the episode, my phone lit up, letting me know that I had a text message from Brailee.

make sure you're ready in an hour. I'll be waiting in the lobby :3

I chuckled at the face she put at the end, quickly typed back a reply saying I would, and turned my attention back to the television.

Ten rolled around, and I got up off the couch, turning the TV off in the process. I walked over to the door, slipping my flip flops on and grabbed my keys and purse. I walked out of my apartment and locked the door, texting Brailee and letting her know I was on my way to the lobby.

I walked down the hall towards the elevator. On my way down the hall, Jake, a boy that lived next door to me, passed me and waved. I smiled, returning the wave and walking by. "Hey Jake."

"Avia." He nodded, fishing his key out of his pocket. "What's up?"

I shrugged. "Going to pick up my brother and sister from the airport with Brai."

He nodded. "Interesting." He opened the door to his apartment. "Feel free to stop by later, I'd love to say hello to them."

I chuckled. "You say that now. But sure, I'll see what they wanna do."
