a/n- warning- double update :) xoxo

The next two months were pretty un-eventful. Well, scratch that.

Alice, who was now seven months into her pregnancy, finally finished the nursery. It wwas cute, the colors being pink, purple, blue, yellow, and green. She mentioned something about Baby B, Lilia, being less developed that Hadley, but according to her, it was nothing to worry about, she just might be smaller. It worried me, but I willed myself to think of good things.

Brock turned fourteen, and the entire family flew out to Los Angeles for a day. We went roller blading, rock wall climbing, you name it. Minus Alice, of course, who still came and waddled her way around with us.

And this last one may sound like a stupid move, but I decided to postpone my college career because I wanted to focus more on family and my dream of becoming a singer. I released my first EP a few weeks ago, which went pretty high on the iTunes charts. I'm still making money from my YouTube channel as well, which is what is supporting me finacially.

Also, Jake and I are officially a thing, and have been for about six or seven weeks now. It's going well, and I think it will for a long time. He also decided that he didn't want to go to college right now either, and he decided to just enjoy being in LA. He has a job at the mall, which pays him pretty well. Mom and Dad are huge supporters of our relationship, much like the rest of the family. I wouldn't say I love him yet or anything, because it's only been two months, but I think I'm actually falling for him. I don't know, it's just going really well.

"Ready to go?" Jake asked me. We were going to see a movie tonight, and I was in my room, getting ready.

"Yep." I said as I walked out, taking Jake's hand in mine.

-

"-and then Brailee was all..." I was cut off of my rambling by the ringing of my phone. "Hello?" I asked, not bothering to see who was calling.

"Hey, Av? It's Mom." I held up a hand to Jake and walked over to where it was more quiet.

"Hey, what's up? You sound worried. Are you okay?"

"It's not me, it's Alice." Mom said. "She went into labor early, we're at the Pocatello hospital."

"She did?!" I felt myself to tear up. "Is she alright?"

"She is, and Hadley is. But little Lilia's not doing so good." I heard Mom's voice crack. "D- do you think you could make it up here?"

"Y- yeah, I'll see you in a few." I hung up and grabbed Jake's hand, heading in the direction of the apartemnt complex.

"Where are we going?" Jake asked in confusion, following me down the stree nonetheless.

"Pocatello."

-

"So explain to me again why we're on this plane?" Jake asked, buckling his seat belt as the plane started down the runway and took off. I tried explaining it to him multiple times, but failed due to my complete and utter terror.

"Because my brother's baby girl may be dying, and we need to be there." I said. "I just need to be there for my family right now, and you're going to come see Idaho with me."

"Oh." Jake smiled sadly, pulling me in for a hug. "Well, I hope she's alright."

"Me too." I mumbled, burying my face into his chest.

-

"Avia! You're here!" Emmi screamed, running down the hospital hallway, meeting Jake and I in the center. "And you brought Jake! Yay!"
