The first time we met, we were in our first year of high school. Now, she may not remember what I'm about to tell you since this happened 2 years ago, but it was a memory I just cannot forget.

It was still too early for classes to start but somehow, like any other 1st day of school, the halls are already full of students scurrying around. Some are gathered in groups which are mostly upperclassmen. Obviously. I am not just saying this because of their height but because of their chitchat and the things that they put on their hair and face makes you realize how much you still have to learn as a freshman.
Which leads me to the little ones. Well, you can tell by the blank looks on their faces ( Cheeks flushed from either excitement or mortification) that they are here early to witness the show.
Because it's not just their ordinary 1st day. No. It's THE first day of High School.
And eventhough I was one of them, I admit. With hair perfectly coiffed by my dearest mother who insisted to fix it (and to which I immediately disentangled when I realized my stupid big brother was just messing with me. "That's the coolest style now, bro. Chicks dig it." He says with a wink as he walked out, slammed the door shut and went to some 'big' college I don't really care about. Yet.)
Anyway, as I remember correctly, I was neither flushed with nervousness nor amazed by the gloriousness that is high school. I was rather stoic about it, I believe. And I might've been so good at faking it because someone thought I was not one of them.

I glanced around to see.
