"Yeah. I watched a YouTube video back from 2014. They did these really weird challenge things. One of them was to eat a whole spoonful of cinnam..." I trail off at the end of my sentence as I notice something on the floor behind Cole. I can feel my body shake as I sob. I would start screaming if there wasn't a punishment. I bury my head in Cole's shirt to try and muffle my screams.
"What is it Avia?" He asks, trying to calm me down. I'm barely able to lift my hand to point to what threw me in to this state. A corpse covered in blood, missing body parts was thrown in the corner. The part that ripped at my heart the most were the words DIE carved in to the arm a thousand times. "These people are sick." Cole spits. I can hear the anger in his voice. I keep my head buried in his chest. He smells like maple syrup. I don't doubt that I smell of blood.
"I... I just don't want to..to end up like that. I have a litt.little sis..ter and she won't even re..remember me and my mom doesn't give a crap about me, she sent me to prison without even thinking about it. What if Charlie is a Fangirl too? She'll be sent to this place just like I was and just I hate this just...." I start sobbing again.
"Relax, relax," Cole whispers, rubbing his hand on my back. I let out a yelp as his hand runs over the place where the whip hit my back. "Whats wrong?" He pulls me up so it feels like his eyes are piercing my soul. I shake my head and collapse back on the ground. He pulls me in to a hug and we just sit there. I start to drift off to sleep...
