I arch my back against a tree and unfurl a cloth, the cloth reveals a small potion that is purple. I know where I am, Night Strike, Eleventh Call. It a game that you play on the xBox. Five stars! My hands cling to the potion as I pour it into my mouth. It tastes like nothing, but I can surely tell it's doing something.
My eyes droopy as I see Dani. Dani, again? We walk down a path until she stops, giggling, running to a chest. Her hands fling open the lock and slowly takes out a knife.
No. Not again. Please, no. My instincts tell me to turn away, don't look. But I can't control my body anymore. Dani pushing the knife into her arm and begins to put designs I've never seen before, cloudy swirls with waves and stars hidden.
"Dani..." The words slip my mouth, "please don't..."
Dani looks up and smiles, "it's okay, Brother! Mother told me to practice my art, so I am! You see, the paintbrush is my knife and my paint is my blood!"
"Dani, stop." I barely look away.
She continues.
"Dani, I said stop!" Yet, she continues until she falls onto her knees, the ground beginning to soak up with tears. My sister's feet begin to vanish slowly as I scurry down to her. "Dani, please, stay with me." I whisper into her ear, pulling her into a tight hug.
"It's okay, Brother. I'll be here. My death wish was the creators put me in Night Strike! You'll find me." Her soft, high voice gasps and her arms disappear. Next thing I know, I'm hugging air.
---
"Cole!" I hear a voice, "Cole!" My eyes shoot open, breathing heavily.
"Avia... Hi." I stand up, kissing her forehead, "I'm going I go change, see ya." I walk out and begin sobbing. My hands barely manage to unlock the door. Finally, once I get in, I pull out a black shirt and jeans as the ground begins to rumble.
An earthquake? No, it can't be. The windows begin the crack..
"Avia!" The yell slips out of my mouth as I run to her room, the door bangs on the wall. She and Charlie clasping onto each other under the table. "Avia, we have to go."
She nods and runs out with me, Charlie begins to cry, we have no time to calm her. "We better get to a place where it's not as dangerous to get smashed by buildings, how about past the train station?"
"Sure," I gasp for air as we turn the corner, running along the rails.
My cousin runs behind us, "Cole, Avia?" She barely says, "you guys okay?"
"Yeah, Suzie, we better get to a safer spot to chat."
"Right."
We run with others, pretty fair from the town. Shrieks of terror behind me, I swivel out. "The town.." I whisper, as explosions begin, "it's.. Exploding.."
