Peso hurried over to the screen on the wall, despite the rocking and shaking that the Octopod was doing at present. He was surprised for a moment because he usually wouldn't have been able to do that. Then he quickly shook it off, this happened often to him whenever anyone was in trouble he became fearless. Well, reasonably fearless, he wasn't like Kawazii, who was pretty close to crazy, but he wasn't as scared as he normally was.
He tried to turn the screen on but when he did all he received was static. "Communication is down." He muttered to himself. "Well, I'll just have to let them know where I went the old fashioned way, by leaving a note."
He quickly scribbled down what he was doing, saying that he would hopefully be back soon. He looked around the sick bay as the Octopod shifted and swayed, trying to find the most stable object to tape his note too. Then he realized that the most stable thing in the room wasn't an object, it was the wall. So, he quickly taped the note to the wall closest to the Octochute using lots of tape to make sure it would stay no matter how much it got shaken around
He then stepped into the Octochute, and was unpleasantly surprised when instead of the smooth, easy ride that he was used to , he got bumped around in the chute. He curled his flippers around his head in an attempt to protect himself.
When he finally exited the Octochute and landed in the Launch Bay, he made his way as quickly as possible to the switch that controlled the Octohatch and flipped it so that the Octohatch would open for him when he was ready. The journey from the switch to the Gup E was hard as the storm decided to rage harder than it ever had before. The floor dipped and swayed under his feet as he finally got to the Gup E, the water splashing everywhere made it hard for him to keep his balance long enough to jump in. He finally managed it and other than some seawater sloshing around in the bottom of the Gup, she seemed to be in 'ship shape'.
While he had been doing this Tweak had been oblivious. She was trying to protect her projects from the water that was getting everywhere, and trying to catch tools that were flying about the room which was smart, he thought, because some of those tools looked like they were capable of impaling someone.
The Capitan had tried to get her to move to a safer place when storms hit but she had refused, saying that if she wasn't down here she wouldn't be able to protect her inventions or her blueprints. Peso admired that kind of dedication to work, even though he did find it a little foolhardy as some of those tools could seriously hurt her. However, Tweak was stubborn and was eventually able to get her way.
Peso closed the hatch of the Gup E and bravely headed out into the raging waters of the world outside, determined to help that little fish defeat the odds, to survive this powerful storm.
