Where Magnus and Alec always bother one another within their cubicles but when Alec gets in a car accident and loses his memory he becomes nicer to Magnus causing Magnus to have feelings for him
Alec hadn't planned to be working in a cubicle. It's not exactly his dream job. In fact he never really had a dream job to be honest with you. He just wanted a job that'll gain him a good amount of money and that he'd be happy with. Getting calls about broken computers wasn't exactly what he pictured his future to be like. But the salary is good so he took the job.
Today would be his first day. Alec's hopes were high. He pictured everyone to be nice, he'd be the boss's favorite worker, he'd get friendly calls, and maybe the people next to his cubicle would be friendly.
All but one of those was right.
The boss had just shown Alec his cubicle and had gone through his training. Alec now sat sitting anxiously staring at the phone. He looked around his desk and saw it was pretty plain. Usually people would have bobble heads or pictures but Alec didn't want any distractions.
But the guy next to his cubicle had other ideas.
Alec kept hearing the scratching of an office chair going back and forth on the floor. He'd been listening to that for a while now and was ready to confront whoever it was next to him.
Alec rolled backwards on his office chair so the person next to him was in view.
The person was very...odd. He had dark hair that had been brushed off to the side in a sort of Mohawk way. He was wearing eyeliner and had a glitter tie on.
Alec cleared his throat.
The person, still moving back and forth in his chair turned to look at Alec.
"Oh aren't you that new guy?" The guy said unenthusiastically.
"Yah. And so far I'm very annoyed."
"What? Did you expect your first day to go exactly as you planned? They never do." He said shrugging and grabbing a piece of gum.
Alec cringed. He hated when people chewed their gum when talking. "It's not that. The job is fine. It's just...you."
"Ah I see. You're getting turned on by my handsomely good looks that it's hard to concentrate. I get it all the time. I'm magnus by the way because I'm guessing that's your next question." Magnus said with a pop to his gum.
"What?! No! No no no! It's not that you are just annoying! Does the squeaking of your chair not bother you?" Alec said squeezing his fists.
Magnus looked at Alec's fists than at his frustrated face. "No but it seems to be bothering you so I guess I'll keep it up." And with that Magnus's phone rang and he rolled back to his desk with a loud skidding sound.
Alec groaned and rolled back to his desk and put his head down. The phone rang making him jump and he anxiously grabbed it.
As Alec was talking to his customer, he noticed Magnus had grown excessively loud the minute Alec had started talking.
"Hang on sir, I'll get back to you on that in a second." Alec said and stood up and leaned over his cubicle to look at Magnus.
"Hey could you quiet down a bit? I'm trying to talk to a customer." Alec hissed.
Magnus looked up at him, smiled, waved, and continued on with his conversation with the customer on the phone as if Alec didn't say anything.
Alec ran a hand through his hair and sat back down hoping Magnus would quiet down. Which he did the minute Alec sat down.
