"Heard of an AUX cord?" I asked and he laughs.

"My friend Darius is actually in-charge of the radio station, I like to support him when he's live" he says.

"Oh... that's neat" I said looking out the window as we got on the highway.

"You liking Hilliard?" he asked.

"Umm... it's fine"

"Where did you come from?"

"Florida..."

"Ouch. You must hate it here"

"I'm just confused why someone would want to stay in a place so cold" I said and he laughs.

"You moved up here because your mom and your new step-dad?"

"Sadly... his dumbass job is more stable than my mother's so"

"And what does your mom do?" he asked and I look at him.

"You ask a lot of questions"

"Just trying to get to know you" he says and I look back out on the road. When we come into downtown, Mason parks his car next to a meter throwing change into it. "Can't believe I found a spot" he laughs and I smile at him.

"Aye Mason" someone says and a guy jogs up to Mason. "Was afraid you got caught" he laughs.

"Of course not" Mason says and looks at me. "Remi this is Kenny, Kenny this Remi"

"Kenny and Remi... that has a nice ring to it don't you think?" Kenny winks and I laugh.

"Right..." I said and he laughs.

"Come on, everyone's walking down to the short north" he says turning around and we follow him up the street. I look around at people walking up and down the street heading into different buildings. Columbus was actually... pretty nice. We pass by a couple that was arguing and it was a sight to see. We then walk underneath a sign that said Short North and it was full of shops.

"It's better at night, when the city lights up" Mason says.

"Really?"

"Yea... I could take you sometime if you like" he says and I don't respond.

"They're in here" Kenny says opening the door and I read the sign that said Zest Juice. Kenny holds the door for us as we walk in. I immediately see a few teenagers bunched up in a corner laughing.

"I swear they're nice" Mason says walking pass me.

"Some of them" Kenny says following him. I walk behind them as we come up to the crowd. "No one ordered me anything, wow fuck all of you" Kenny says going to the front.

"Who's this?" a red head said staring at me.

"Guys... meet Remi, she's new here" Mason says.

"Clearly..." the red head girl said and they laugh.

"Remi this is Tamantha, and she's sorta a bitch, so watch out" Mason says and everyone laughs at the table. "I'll get us drinks" Mason says going to join Kenny at the front.

"Don't mind Mason love... he's always trying to do charitable cause" Tamantha said and her friends laugh and I join them.

"Oh wow, are you serious?" I asked and they look at me. "Please tell me you're joking right now. Let me guess you and Mason dated? Or you like him and he doesn't like you back? Are you a cheerleader? No wait that's too cliché, head gymnast of the gymnastic team? And now we're playing a scene from what teen drama show? Gossip Girl or 90210?" I laugh and they stare at me. "Girl please... you're not about to clown me" I add sitting down at a booth next to them and they don't say anything.

"I just got you plain mango, it's really good" Mason said putting my drink down on the table.

"Thank you" I said and he smiles sitting in front of me.

"What'd I miss?" Kenny says.

"You guys friend thinks she knows me..." Tamantha said and I look at her and she sends me a smirk. "We're heading out, we will catch you guys later" she says standing up and her corny ass posse stands with her. "And Remi right? For your information, I'm no gymnast, I play Rizzo in the Grease production. And Mason here..." she says leaning on his shoulders. "He's my brother" she continues and her friends laughs. "Have a good day" she walks away and I watch them leave. Kenny and Mason laugh and I look at them.

"What the hell just happened?" Mason asked.

"She's your sister?" I asked.

"They're twins, you wouldn't be able to tell because she went to dye her hair red" Kenny laughs.

"Oh..."

"Yea and being in a school play is a big deal here" Mason says taking a drink of his smoothie. I pick mine up and listened as Mason and Kenny carried on a conversation. After we were done sitting and talking, we all walk around the Short North going into multiple shops. I had no spending money but I had my credit card and I didn't want to seem cheap.

"Let's head back to Hilliard and go eat at Applebees or something, school will be let out school" Mason says.

"I have to take a piss first" Kenny says opening a door and walking in. We followed him into the small café and the smell of coffee and banana nut bread was in the air. We watch as Kenny hurries to the back to relieve himself.

"You have fun?" Mason asked.

"Yea, thanks" I smile at him and he sits down at a table. I go and stand by him and look down at my phone to see Savannah had texted me. The front door opens and I hear chatter and I continue to look down at my phone texting Savannah. I put my phone back in my purse looking up to see a few men in their suits laughing about something at the counter.

"What the hell is he doing? Taking a shit?" Mason says and I laugh. I look around the room and it was a really cute café, instrumental music played over the speaker and laughter was still coming from the front. My eyes walk back over to the front counter when a cute guy looks in the display case. I squint my eyes when he looks over at me and I see... James. He looks at me confused and I stare at him. Out of this whole fuckin city, we end up in the same coffee shop. Great. "About time" Mason says standing up. I look over and Kenny smiles and heads for the door and Mason follows after him. I go for the door and look back and James was still staring at me. I laugh and roll my eyes and walk out of the coffee shop following the guys.
