Rose's POV

I walked into homeroom and most people were already seated waiting for class to start.

Not making any eye contact with anyone, I discreetly went to my seat that was isolated. Like yesterday, I took out a book to read.

About 5 minutes later, Anthony and his friends Devon and Mario all walked in. They were all laughing together about something. Not caring I went on to finish my book.

"Hey." A voice said causing me to jump.

"Hey." I replied back.

"Sorry about earlier, she always does that." Anthony explained signing.

"You're fine." I smiled.

He grabbed a chair and sat in front of my desk.

"So, What are you reading?" He asked.

"The Notebook." I blushed.

"Ahhh you and my mom." He smiled.
"It's her favorite book and movie."

"Mine too." I Said.

"Hey, I'm having a party this Saturday if you wanna come." He offered.

Omgggggg.

"Oh, uh idk, I'll try. I have a lot of studying and stuff to do." I explained nervously.

"Studying? I don't think there's a lot of studying to do on the first week." He laughed.

"You never know."

"Ayyy Anthony!" His friends called.

"I'll talk to you later." He smiled standing from his seat. "Bye Rose."

"Bye.." I said softly with a smile.

He was so fine I couldn't help it.

Anthony's POV

"Aye man whatchu doing talking to that lame girl?" Mario asked making fun of me.

I squinted my eyebrow. "Lame? Why does everyone keep calling her that?" I question sitting down.

"Aw man, because she quiet and don't ever be talking to nobody and she stay reading a god damn book." He said rubbing his chin.

"I ain't even gonna flex either, she is kinda lame. She stay embarrassing herself." Devon butted in.

I turned around to look at her. She was still deep in her book.

"Nah, I think she cute." I defended.

"Ight now, let Kandice that find out and she beatin you and that lil girl ass." Mario laughed.

"Nigga shut up and stop talking about Kandice. It's giving me a headache." I snapped.

They both started laughing at me.

Rose's POV

After homeroom, I walked down the main hallway getting to 2nd block.

It was a wide hallway and on both sides of the walls were lockers.

I walked down further seeing that Kandice and her group of friends piled up talking. I knew she was gonna start something as soon as I walked pasted her.

"And this bitch right here think its okay to talk to my boyfriend." She said looking at me with disgust.

Her friends all looked and laughed at me as I walked past.
