I hear something downstairs, not a delightful tune but the... Door!

With panic, I place my guitar down.

What if it's Father? What do I do?

I grab my guitar, whilst jumping up and down trying to figure out what to do, and without thinking I slide my guitar under my bed.

I sit on my knees and with relief, I wipe the drops of sweat which was pouring down my head, drop by drop.

I feel someone run into my room which wasn't really putting my heart at ease at the moment.

Looking up to who it was, I smile. It was just Juleka.

"Juleka?"

"I wasn't the one downstairs." She says in slight panic.

"Is it Dad?"

She crosses her arms, "do you really think Dad will be back after all these months?"

"Months?!" I don't really remember how long he's went away for.

"Of course, Months!" She says with anger. "I.. I'm.. Sorry!"

"No, it's okay!" I say in calming voice. "Then, who is it?"

"Mom." She answers.

I shrug my shoulders. Thinking about Dad only makes me think of dark things, such as; rude behavior, ignoring us and so on.

I confidently look up at Juleka who was standing, "how long had.. It really been since he left us?"

"Nearly a year." She answers with a cold voice. "He only left for work. But really it seems like he hates us and wanted to rid from us."

Juleka seems like she was going to cry, tears which I've never seen. She walks away from me and out of my room.

I'm the oldest sibling in this family, yet I don't know that many things.

I look down, sadly, I lower my body to the floor. I look under my bed where my guitar was lying. I pull half of it out from under and look at its beauty.

It's shiny coat glimmers across my eyes.

I press my lips on the shiny part of the guitar.

I don't exactly remember who gave me this guitar but I keep it deep within my heart and closely to my soul.
