The Chase

Now back to our regularly scheduled program...

"Good job girls!" I high fived my two sisters, we had once again defeated another villain

"Hey bloss, I'm off- I already missed thirty minutes of practice" buttercup said, hovering next to me before planting her feet on the ground, then bolting away with a slight wave

"Me too! Sorry blossy, catch ya later!" Bubbles giggled, slipping away

I sighed, the police had already taken the crook away, good riddens

I flew towards the park, it was turning dark but I didn't really mind

I sat down near the small pond they had, kids were starting to pack up and go home and families were spending time together

Unlike mine

When we were young the girls and I used to be really close, now it just seems we've grown apart

Of course it's not there fault it's just some times I feel- extra lonely..

I looked at my reflection, before dipping my hand in, splashing my reflection away

Suddenly I saw someone behind me, but before I had time to react they spoke

"Hey pinky"

"Brick! You almost gave me heart attack!" I growled, turning away from him and back to the pond, it was reflecting the sunset off it

"Pretty sky huh?" He asked

"Mhm.." I mumbled

"Aww sorry pink, did I scare ya?" He chuckled, sitting down next to me

"No" I said dully, turning to him

"Why do you look so mopey" he asked, his head slightly turning

"I'm not moping! I'm just thinking" I sighed, "not that you'd know what that is"

It was a stupid comeback and obviously false seeing as we were both top mark students

"We both no that's a lie" be snickered

"Hmm.." he said once he saw I didn't retaliate, "I've got something that'll cheer you up"

"Brick don't even-"

My auburn locks fell, draped around my shoulder

I reached my hand to the top of my head

My ribbon was gone

And so was Brick

"Brick! Come back here-" I groaned, turning around, almost touching noses with him as he was hovering above the ground, bent down to my level some

"Give me my ribbon!" I glared

"Okay- come get it" he taunted before speeding off, a red streak followed

And so did I

"Briiickk" I groaned, "Come on"

"Nope" he grinned

It soon became a chase and I was zipping and flashing all over the place trying to get my ribbon

"Gotta be faster pinky, otherwise your never getting your-"

While he was bantering I grabbed his hat, placing it backwards atop my head

"Well well Well- seems the tables have turned" I giggled

"Oh no fair!" He whined, but still kept a smile

"Too bad, time for you to get your hat, Brick" I mocked, he attempted to grab his hat but nonetheless failed as I dodged him simply

Soon after we began the chase again, and only as the moon rose we decided to stop

"I've gotta head come pinky, I'll see you tomorrow?" He grinned

"Same time and place?" I asked

"Yup"

"Okay then" I Said, turning back towards the direction of my home

I turned around only once, he flashed me a grin and I gave him a small smile in return, before he bolted away with a wave

I lingered a bit, smiling to myself

I flew home, and as upon entering bubbles and buttercup jumped to welcome me

"Hey bloss- why are you wearing brick hat"

I looked up, realizing I still had the hat

And he still had my bow
