once at hogsmeade the group of six decided they would split up and then meet at the three broomsticks at 3 o'clock.

of course, they split into groups of twos, everyone with their respective counterpart.

He watched as butch and buttercup made their way over to the quidditch store, and boomer and bubbles going in the opposite direction to the joke shop.

"You ever realize all our names start with the letter B?" Blossom asked, catching him slightly off guard

Brick thought about it for a minute, "yeah, kinda odd" he shrugged, "well what'dya wanna do"

"wanna go to the bookstore?" She asked giving him a grin

he rolled his eyes playfully, "how is it that I knew you'd say that"

She laughed and pulled him over to where said bookstore was

Upon entering they quickly realized not many people were there. They both looked around for a bit, trying to find something of interest.

brick came up with an idea shortly after browsing, "Hey let's do something"

"I thought we were already doing something"

"No" he laughed, "I mean.. let's pick out a book for each other"

She gave him a confused smile but went along with it anyways

Brick wandered around the fiction section, he ended up picking up Pride & Prejudice, and although he had a hunch she'd likely already read it, he always enjoyed the book so he thought she would too.

"pride and prejudice?" She asked when he showed her the book, "I didn't know you liked classic literature"

he blushed, "I really don't, I just read this over the summer while I was bored"

She grinned and showed him the book she picked out, "Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde?"

"Read it, then get back to me" she said, placing it in his hands

After purchasing their books they both scoured for what else they could do for the next few hours.

they mostly roamed around the shops, it was mid-spring so blossom took some time admiring the flowers.

"ironic, considering your name" Brick said after she had literally stopped to smell the roses for the fifth time.

she rolled her eyes, "they're just so pretty! I know it's cliche, but I just love red roses"

brick made a mental note to come back and pick some for her later.

after a few hours of laughter and blossom making fun of him, they made their way to three broomsticks.

The two sets of trio's decided to order some butterbeer and started re-telling their adventures of the day.

"you two got each other books?" Butch raised an eyebrow at them once it had been the reds' turn to spill on what they had done.

"I can't believe I'm saying this—" buttercup breathed out, "but blossom I think you found someone as dorky as you are"

Bubbles hit her on the shoulder, "I think it's cute!"

"Well of course you do, you go around reading romance books all day" BC chuckled, rolling her eyes

"You'd find it cute if you and butch swapped quidditch supplies" Bubbles muttered, buttercup playfully tugged on her pigtail in retaliation
