Kelli has been to school long enough to know who the popular kids were, and who the losers were. Kelli herself, fell under the category of " Im not in a category".

Abby had asked Kelli to sleepover one Friday during science. " Hey Kells! How are you? I was wondering if you wanted to stop by your house after school to pack a bag and come stay at my house." " I can ask my parents." Kelli smiled back. " sounds like fun."

That afternoon Kelli rode home on her ocean blue beach bike and arrived at her humble home. She quickly pulled her bike into the garage and then quickly went inside to pack a bag for the night. It was easy since Kelli wasn't totally unpacked yet.

Taking her bike out again she rode down the block and reached the blue home Abby lived in. Ding dong. " Hi, you must be Kelli, I'm Brent, Abby's older bro." Said a tall shaggy haired dude. " Sup. I'm here for Abby." "Ahhh..did she tell you about the party Mads and I are having tonight?" What party? It must have been a weird face Kelli put on because Brent said " Uh, I guess maybe she hasn't told you yet. But that's alright dudet." " uh, yea..I didn't know about it, but thanks for letting me know. I can go home and get a suit, if it's a pool party that is." Kelli said back. " sure. I'll tell Abby about that. She's getting her " no makeup" makeup look done by Mads right now." Kelli waved goodbye and peddled home fast. Why didn't Abby tell me I was coming over for a party? hmm..maybe she forgot. Kelli grabbed the first swimsuit she saw.

" Hey, Abby!! Kelli is here for you!" This time Maddie had answered the door for Kelli. Maddie let Kelli in and complimented how well her swimsuit cover and suit looked. " Wow Abmyer. Pulling some guys tonight or what?" She said checking out Kelli. Kelli felt uncomfortable and covered herself as she headed towards her friends room. " Hey Kels." Abby said, focusing on her eyeliner. " You look good." She said stopping to look in the mirror at Kelli. " Uh, thank you, you too." " Oh honey, I always look good." Abby sassed back. They both laughed.

An hour later, there was 100 plus kids at the party. Kelli's suit was fitting on her. It was a classic navy scoop bikini top with patterned ruffle bottoms. Showed off her amazing curves, belly button piercing she got in 8th grade, and tan lines. She felt the guys staring. One boy in particular caught her eye, Nick Castello. Nick was the most popular boy in school. He had dirty blonde hair that swayed to the right of his face, a nice chest of abs and a jawline that could cut a girl. He had blue eyes, and sunglasses on the top of his head. A flamingo patterned suit and a perfect smile. He also loved to surf. But his favorite thing to do, was get girls to fall in love with him. There were already 5 girls standing around him with their body's slammed all over his. But he caught Kelli looking, and smiled.

Kelli looked away, probably because she secretly wanted to hate him, but he was super cute. He left the girls that were near him and crept over to Kelli who was looking out the sliding door at all the people in the pool. Kelli felt a gentle tap on her shoulder. " Hey, I'm Nick." He smiled. Kelli blushed. "Hi, I'm Kelli." she said. " I saw you looking at me, Kelli." Ugh the way he said her name sent a sensation of tingles across her spine. " I'm going to go find Abby. I have no interest in someone who is already taken." Kelli left, knowing she was going to drag him into her trap.

Kelli found Abby who obviously was watching Nick and her from inside. " Oooo Kells!! You know how popular that kid is?!" Abby said jumping up and down. " One, yes. Two, stop jumping up and down or you're going to have a nip slip in front of the whole school. Nobody needs another Cardi B." Kelli answered back. "Wow Kells, I didn't know you could be like this. I say we ditch and go surfing. I have an extra wetsuit in the garage. Let's go." Abby suggested. Abby took off yanking Kelli by her arm.

Ahh the waves felt so cold against Kelli's skin and the salt touched her lips as a sign of home. "Abby are you alright? You would never miss a party." Kelli asked, concerned . " I mean, I just don't know. Mads and B didn't ask me if I wanted to help them plan the party. They still allowed me to invite people and enjoy it, but I didn't do anything." Kelli sighed realizing how sad her friend was. She splashed Abby's back and started taking off towards the waves. She positioned herself steady and stood up on the board. She smiled looking back at her friend. " what a show off." Abby said, showing a smile.

Getting back to the party Nick came over to the girls and smiled at Kelli. " hey, where did you all go?" " We went surfing." Abby stated. Nick was shocked. "You girls surf?!" " is it such a shock Nick?" Kelli asked crossing her hands over her chest so he would stop staring. Kelli was so naturally beautiful. And the water droplets on her body were so flattering to every boy, so she wasn't surprised Nick was looking too. Abby left with her other friend and Kelli took off to the bar, knowing Nick would follow.

" Can I have a strawberry dackery please?" Kelli asked. " Is that a Virgin?" asked Nick from behind. Turning to the bartender, Kelli said " No." They were all underaged but for some reason, these bartenders didn't care. Kelli isn't too sure they were actual bartenders either. Nick asked for a Pina Colada.

"So now that I know you surf, what about the rest of you?" Nick asked. " There is nothing you'll need to know about me other then the fact I will never like someone like you." Kelli said, sipping her drink. "Ouch, that was painful." Nick replied putting an imaginary knife into his heart. "Oh save me the sob story." She said, getting up and leaving. Nick gave up, for now. Nick always loved a challenge.

Kelli chugged her drink, wanting another but knowing she shouldn't. Just then she spotted her brother. She threw out the drink and headed over to him, who had a beer in his hand. "Hey Brian" she said, thinking she busted him drinking. "Hey sis." "What's that in your hand Mr.?" Kelli asked. "Oh don't tell me you're trying to bust me when I already saw you over there chugging down your drink Kells." Looking disappointed, she noticed who was watching her, Nick. She left her brother and approached him. "Look buddy" she said sternly, pushing her hand against his chest. " I'll give you tomorrow to try and talk to me, if I don't like you, you leave me alone." He agreed. " Alright. I'll see you tomorrow Kelli" he said giving his number to her. He whistled in front of his buddies as she walked away.
