They'd escaped. They'd been trapped for three years in that god damn maze, and now they're free. Sitting in a place they never believed would exist, a safe zone, sitting in a cafeteria.
However, just because they'd escaped the maze, it doesn't mean they'd escaped the grasp of WCKD.
Amara could always tell when something wasn't right, and sitting in that cafeteria with only one other member from her maze by her side; she knew this place wasn't safe. Her and Aris had been trying to figure out who these people were since they'd arrived. And now they might have their chance. A new group entered the cafeteria, they'd be their way out, they'd help each other.

A group of 6 or 7, all boys. The opposite of what Amara's maze experience was like clearly. First, there was an overly excited Asian boy, quite tall and probably around 18 or 19 years old. Next, was the head of the group. Not the tallest of boys but still held height over Amara. He had brown hair and eyes, a shocked look on his face; Amara new he'd be the one to help them. Following after the two boys, were another three: a dark skinned, short haired boy who walked straight over to the food table; a slightly tanned skinny boy who stayed at the back; and then there was him.

You know that immediate feeling you get when you recognise someone? That's what Amara felt. She knew him. He was the tallest of the group, rather slim, had dirty blonde hair and a small cut on his cheek, just underneath his eye. He stood out amongst the others, that might have been because Amara felt as though she knew him. She didn't know from where or from when. But she was positive, 100%, she definitely knew him. So she was determined to find out who he was.
