Through the sea of my sorrows and my ocean of tears
You've been with me friend for all of these years
Your sweet embrace that comforts me greatly
Brings to me tears which I have cried lately
Your soothing voice tempts me to stay
And asks me to remember al of that day
When my heart was stolen by one so fair
That I actually again began to care
For when I thought I could once succeed
Back into the pit of sorrow you'd lead
To push me into the hole so black
The light of hope and day it lacked
During the day I would appear to be fine
But during the night you crossed the line
And tortured my heart to cry and weep
Over the promises she did not keep
You'd laugh and smile at my demise
And only then did I recognize
The beast within myself I hid
For the looks of it were extremely horrid
I knew this monster I could not beat
So I was prepared to accept defeat
To drown in this pit of pain an sorrow
Not even caring about tomorrow
When I heard a voice soft and faint
Tell me there were no restraints
So I looked down to my surprise
No chains or bonds held my demise
