As Butterscotch thought about this, he looked up at the tree behind him, and gasped when Princess Celestia's face appeared on the bark, and disappeared rather quickly. Butterscotch shook his head in disbelief as he said "What was that?" "Did you see something?" Fluttershy asked. "No...No, I just...uh...I didn't see anything, did I?" Butterscotch asked. "Look again." Fluttershy said. Butterscotch looked at the tree again as Princess Celestia's face appeared on the bark, and said "Hello, Butterscotch." "Fluttershy, the tree is talking to me." Butterscotch said in awe. "Then you should talk back." Fluttershy said. "Don't be frightened, young stallion." Princess Celestia said. "My bark is worse than my bite." The two owls just looked at each other with deadpanned looks on their faces. "Say something." Fluttershy said. "What do you say to a tree?" Butterscotch asked. "Anything you want." Fluttershy said. Butterscotch looked up at Princess Celestia as he said "So, uh..." Princess Celestia used her vines to push Butterscotch closer to her a she said "Come closer, Butterscotch." As she studied him, she said "He has a good soul. And he's handsome too."

Butterscotch smiled as he said "Oh, I like her." "I knew you would." Fluttershy said with a smile. Suddenly, they heard Elusive's voice say "Butterscotch! Butterscotch! Where are you, mate?!" Butterscotch silently gasped as he whispered out "We can't let them see us!" "Quick, over here!" Princess Celestia whispered out as Butterscotch and Fluttershy hid on the left side of the tree. As he looked around, Sunset Glare said "This place gives me the creeps. Savages could be hiding anywhere." "Yeah, well, if you spot one, don't ask questions." Elusive said. "Just shoot." Just then, Princess Celestia used one of her roots to trip the two unicorns. They fell down as they said "Oh!" "Watch your hooves, you big oaf!" Elusive said. "It wasn't me, it was the tree!" Sunset Glare said. "Oh, of course." Elusive said sarcastically. "The tree just felt like lifting its roots, and-!" He stopped talking when he, and Sunset Glare looked behind them to see the root dropping to the ground. "Let's get out of here." Elusive whispered out in fear. Just then, Princess Celestia used her vines to hit their flanks, and they yelped in pain as Elusive said "Run!" "But what about Butterscotch?!" Sunset Glare asked. "He's a big stallion! He can take care of himself!" Elusive said as he and Sunset Glare ran off.

"I'm glad you're on our side." Butterscotch said. "There's still some snap in these old vines." Princess Celestia said. "I better get back before they send the whole camp out after me." Butterscotch said. "When will I see you again?" Fluttershy asked. "Meet me tonight, right here." Butterscotch said as he took off. "Well, I haven't had this much excitement in two hundred years." Princess Celestia said. "What am I doing?" Fluttershy asked in disbelief. "I shouldn't be seeing him again. I mean, I want to see him again." "Who wouldn't?" Princess Celestia asked. "I want to see him again." "But, still, something inside is telling me it's the right thing." Fluttershy said as Angel started braiding her mane and tail. "Perhaps it's your dream." Princess Celestia said. "My dream?" Fluttershy asked. "Do you think he's the one the spinning arrow was pointing to?" Princess Celestia nodded as she said "Mm-hmm."
