We finally reached our front doorstep and Jin oppa handed my backpack to me. "Kamsahamnida, oppa! Thank you for walking me home and eating dinner with me," I said and bowed and he ruffled my hair, my heart skipped a beat as we grinned widely at each other.
"OMO! I almost forgot," I pulled out the slick black skateboard out of my backpack and handed it to Jin oppa. "Please take this as our peace and thanks offering," I said and lowered my head, feeling ashamed of what happened last night but he just chuckled and shook his head.
"Aniya, it's okay! You can keep that. Take it as a gift from me." Jin oppa lifted my chin so our eyes could meet. He had a friendly smile on his perfect face "Arraseo?" Jin oppa shot me a thumbs up and pinched my warm cheeks.
A figure approached us from the side, cleared his throat loudly and disturbed us. "OMO! Taehyung, you scared me! What are you doing here?" I yelped, startled. Jin oppa released me and stepped back. Taehyung walked forward with a grumpy look on his face.
"Oh, mianhae. Am I interrupting something?" Taehyung let out a fake laugh. "I just wanted to return your lunchbox," he handed it to me and I gave him a weird look.
The three of us stood there awkwardly. Taehyung looked hard at Jin oppa, making him feel uncomfortable. "Uhh, I guess I'll go now. Have a good night," Jin oppa said to me and patted the top of my head. He glanced at Taehyung before walking off.
"YAH! You ruined the moment!" I hit Taehyung's chest and pouted as I watched Jin oppa walking at a distance. Taehyung laughed and flashed me his rectangular smile.
I took a peek inside our restaurant's kitchen, keeping an eye on Taehyung as he tried to help Eomma cook food for our customers. I giggled seeing him struggle. We all knew Taehyung didn't know how to cook, but he likes to help out and try to learn.
"AISH! This kid," my mother laughed and hit the top of Taehyung's head. "Ohhh, mianhae!" Taehyung looked a little embarrassed but still had his signature smile plastered on his face. He accidentally poured in fish sauce instead of soy sauce, ruining eomma's dish.
I haven't seen my mother laugh this hard in so long, I couldn't help but laugh and smile as well. If it was me or Namjoon who accidentally ruined her dish, she would've already grabbed the broom stick to hit our bums.
"YAH! Taehyung, get out of the kitchen! Stop ruining the food, customers are hungry!" Namjoon scolded and handed Taehyung the mop instead. "If you want to help out, clean the floor!" He instructed sternly, Taehyung obediently followed and started mopping the floor.
My mother's laugh faded a little "Oh Namjoon, the boy is simply trying to help! Lighten up, dear!" Eomma chuckled lightly and said to my brother.
I continued to take orders from customers and served dishes while Taehyung was in charge of cleaning up the dirty tables and the floor. It's been a long time since he helped us do work in the restaurant, although he often had dinner here with his younger sister. Little Jiya loved our marinated samgyeopsal.
Three familiar looking boys slammed the door open and entered the restaurant. I watch them as they sat in an empty table, obnoxiously talking loud. Taehyung glared at the boys and shook his head, continuing to mind his own business.
"Three bottles of soju please! And three plates of your samgyeopsal," The boy with pale skin and round brown eyes orded, I studied his familiar face for a few seconds. He didn't look purely Korean, the boy looked more like a foreigner most probably American. I suddenly felt uncomfortable as I felt their eyes watched my every move while I placed their orders on their table.
The night continued and the three boys continued to eat and drink, talking louder and louder. "Another bottle of soju please!" The tallest of the three boys ordered and I handed him a bottle. He grabbed my arm to stop me from walking away, and I almost shrieked in shock. We locked eyes, and for a second I thought he was the most attractive guy in the room.
