Quinn and the Medic rushed down the hall and heard the screaming os Ash from down the hall. Quinn sprinted into the room with the medic not far behind and cradled Ash in his arms. As Quinn held Ash, she started to become warmer and her crying started to wain. Quinn looked up at the medic for directions, but he had a scared look on his face. The medic slowly raised his hand until he was pointing at Ash; Quinn looked back down, and Ash was on fire. But it didn't burn. It felt...nice, like a warm fire on a cold night.

The medic and Quinn watched in awe as Ash was lifted from Quinn's arms into an upright position in midair. Ash's head fell back, and her eyes rolled to the back of her head. The gash on her side slowly started to fade, as well as the burns on her arms. Her hospital gown changed back into her armor, but with hints of red and orange now added. Ash was moved from above the bed to the floor and set down softly onto her feet.

She started to fall backward, but Quinn reached out, grabbed her, and lifted her back into the infirmary bed. Ash slowly blinked her eyes open and just looked at Quinn.

"Why are you holding me?" Ash asked him as she shifted out of his arms.

"Do you remember anything that just happened?" Quinn asked holding on tight, afraid to let go.

"I remember the explosion, going to the infirmary, and falling asleep, but nothing after that, and how did I get into my armor?" Ash asked.

"I'm not sure, but I have an idea. I think you should talk to your father.

"OK?" Ash said still puzzled.

" I'll get him, I think you should stay in bed a while longer.

Quinn left the infirmary and walked down the cheerful street of Winterfield. He passed Ash and Sophia's house and saw some good samaritans cleaning up the debris. Quinn smiled at the gesture and continues to walk down the path. Quinn arrived at Ash's Father's house and knocked on the door.

"Hello?" Quinn said.

The door opened, and Ash's father stood with large bags under his eyes.

"Quinn! Is Ash OK?" He asked worriedly.

"She's fine, but we have some questions. I'll explain on the way."

As they walked Quinn explained everything, including his theory of what happened to Ash.

When they stepped in the room Ash immediately sat up in her bed.

"Father! What's happening?" Ash asked him.

"It's about your mother." He said.

Ash's father was a well-known man by the name of Edward. He was always kind and loved to help others, but above all, he loved his daughter more than anything in the world.

"Where should I start?" Edward asked Ash.

"Start when you first met," Ash said.

Edward took and deep breath and began...

"Your mother and I first met about 22 years ago, 4 years before you were born. We were at an inventing competition, and your mom was amazing. She won the competition with me in close second. I invited her to eat dinner with me and she accepted. We went out to dinner at a place that played live music to listen to while we ateYou mother wore this beautiful red dress and strappy black shoes. Her hair was just like yours, autumn brown hair flowing down her black like a waterfall." Edward said getting lost in thought.

"What happened after that?"

"We went out to dinner and the rest is history. Your mom and I went out dancing that night. We danced and danced until we were too tired to continue. Afterward, we went to my home. We stayed up the whole night eating popcorn, drinking wine, and snuggling on the couch. It was one of the best nights of my life. We stayed together and loved each other with all of our hearts. Then one special night, your mom came up to me and told me she was pregnant with twins; but she also told me something else that night, or showed me something. Her hand lit on fire. It flickered on her fingertips and swayed on her palms. It was beautiful.

"W-what?" Ash said surprised.
