This ship was never the most popular, and still isn't today. The two are seen as the 'best looking members' by the group and fans, being the visuals. Their interactions are seen as purely platonic and are said to be close on a brother and sister level. As well as even a father, daughter level.
Jin took Baby under his care when she came to Bighit, and looked after her, feeding her and clothing her. He even brought her back to his family for holidays, because she didn't have anyone else to spend it with, and was unable to see her grandparents.
