𝐁𝐓𝐒' 𝐁𝐚𝐛𝐲

Her ~Ep 4~

The drive-in was a main hangout spot for high schoolers, on a Friday night. It was infamous for its cheesy romance films that no one really pain attention to.

Baby, Jessi, Chaelin and Hyuna all sat in the back of Jessi's dads pickup truck. Covered with blankets eating snacks and drinking soda. Talking every now and then, but mainly watching the movie playing, which happened to be Grease.

All except Baby kept their eyes on the screen. Her mind was somewhere else. Somewhere it hadn't been in a long time. She felt the cold, metal lighter in her pocket and a little cardboard box in the other.
Baby hadn't smoked for a few weeks. The others think she has been clean for a year. However she just can't stop. She knows it's bad and that it is slowly killing her, but it's better her then someone else.

"Hey, I'm gonna go to the toilet and I might get some more snacks, want anything?" She asked sitting up.
"I'll have a coke." Hyuna said.
"Sprite." CL and Jessi said in sync, eyes not leaving the screen.

As Baby walked away she heard whispers from a nearby group of boys. Then suddenly one stood infringement of her.

"Hi, I'm Kai." He said reaching out to shake the girls hand. "And I'm leaving." She said walking around the boy, who stood shocked. "Man, at least you tried." Sehun patted his friend on the back. "She's tougher then you think." Taehyung stated.

As Baby stood, cigarette in hand, shivering in the cold. She heard faint footsteps coming her way. Expecting fellow smokers to turn up and smoke alongside her in silence, she ignored it.

"You shouldn't do that you know." She heard a deep voice say, next to her. Baby turned around seeing none other then Min Yoongi. "I know I shouldn't." She mumbled, taking another puff. "Well, then why are you-"
"Because I can't stop." Baby turned her body away from the boy, not wanting to face the hard truths of her predicament.

"Listen, you don't have to tell me anything but this," he walked in front of the girl, squatting down to she her face, slowly taking the cigarette out of her mouth. "Can be replaced with this." He took out a wrapped lolly. Opening it and placing it in her mouth. "What flavour is it?" Baby asked shyly, almost like a kid being bribed to leave their room. "Cherry." He smiles at her cute behaviour. "Thank you." She smiled at him too, causing him to smile bigger.

He made Baby Y/l/n smile.

"You should get back to your friends." He looked towards the familiar girls curled up together. "I told them I'd get food, so..." Baby felt guilty for lying, especially to the people she considers family. "Well, let's go get some then." Yoongi didn't know where this confidence came from, but he liked it.

The two walked out of the alleyway, behind the food stand. "I'm Yoongi by the way." Baby smiled at this, slightly giggling. "You think I don't know that." She looked over to him. "I'm Baby." She reaching out her hand to him. "I knew that." He smiled.
"Really?" She asked, not believing a word. "Of course. Everyone knows you." Baby's smile slightly dropped. "I don't want everyone to know me." She said.
"Why not?" Yoongi questioned, looking down at the girl. "People know me right. Well I'm seen not heard. I'm looked at not talked to. I'm known but not for anything more then a few stares in the corridor." She spoke softly, as if talking it herself. In Yoongi's mind it seemed she had always wanted to tell someone this. Why she didn't he didn't know, but what he did know is he's thankful she told him.

"I don't only look at you." He stayed out of nowhere. Baby smiled over to him. "Thank you." She mumbled.

The two had finally reached the front of the long line. "1 coke, 2 sprites and plain nachos," Baby looked at the boy next to her, "make that 2 cokes."

Yoongi helped the girl carry the drinks. Suddenly Baby stopped taking the 2 sprites and 1 of the cokes. "Thank you, a lot." Yoongi was about to hand the girl the other coke but she pushed his hand away. "That's a thank you." She took a bite of a nacho. "There's no need to thank me, I did what any decent human would." He blushed, looking down.

"That's the point, most people wouldn't do that." Baby said, she felt stares on the two of them. "I think your friends are waiting." She pointed over to the basketball team, who had their jaws dropped, eyes not leaving the two. "So are yours." Baby turned around seeing her three best friends, smiling fondly at the two.

Many people from school saw the two as well. Some jealous, but mostly shipping the two. They looked like a cute couple.

Baby didn't like the stares, looking down feeling her anxiety rise.
Did she do something wrong?
"Hey, it's okay." Yoongi lifted her chin up, noticing her change of character. "No one is judging."

"Enjoy your night." She said running off to her friends. Trying to hide her growing blush, and Baby never blushes. "That just happened." Yoongi whispered to himself. He looked at the girl, with his adorable gummy smile. He turned around with a slight blush and a faint smile.

"You and Baby just talked!" Hoseok and JImin shouted, embracing the boy.

"Yeah we did."
