Chapter 11: Childhood Friend.

Aira's POV

"Yeah, I'm on my way." I said as I rode my car to pick my childhood friend Austin from the airport.

After I arrived, my phone rang.

"Airrrrryyyy!" I said as I made a distance to my phone.

"What's up Maxy?" I answered

"Eh- A- Kasi May project kami, gusto sana kitang gawin model." she said

"Uh- sure! I'll check first my schedule." I said

"Yaaaayyy! thank you beshie! muah! muah! tsup! tsup!" she said

"Alright, bye for now I'm quite busy." I said

"Quite busy ka dyan! hoy babae! 'wag mo nga akong English-Englishin 'dyan nosebleed ako sayo eh!" she said

"Sige na po! byeee!" I said as I ended the call.

I waited a few minutes then Austin arrived.

"Austin!" I yelled

"Aira!" she said as he gave me a tight hug.

"Wow! you got taller I guess how's U.S.?" I asked

"The same as usual, but WOW! I think you just got hotter! I remembered in 1st grade our classmates teased you cause you're fat! haha!" he said

"Ugghh! I thought you forgot that already! that was like a gazillion years ago! kidding!" I said as I playfully spanked his arm.

"I think you're overreacting! Haha! I'm glad you hadn't changed, same old childish Aira." he said

"Tsss I've already matured though I act like a child at heart." I said

"Still childish!" he smirked

"Okay, enough already we better go now." I said

He held my hand, I was shocked.

"What?" he asked oblivious

"Umm we're not kids anymore." I said

"So?" he said

"We're also not official." I said

"Then?" he said

"We don't supposed to hold hands, it's like a not normal thing to do here." I said

"I'm sorry, I just got used to 'ya know." he apologized

"It's okay." I smiled.

Maxine is calling....

I answered my phone.

"Yow!" I greeted

"Airryyy! pwede ka ba ngayon?" she asked

"For what?" I asked

"Diba model kita? I mean pwede ka umm ano- kasi-" she said

"Sige, I'll be there." I replied

"Thanks! you're a lifesaver talaga! hihihi!" she said

"Anything for you." I said as I ended the call.

"Who's that?" Austin asked

"Ohh it's just my friend Maxine, umm do you mind if we go first to my school? Maxine needs me for her project." I said

"Sure thing, I could also wander in your school though." he said

"Thanks!" I said

Maxine's POV

"Maxine! asan na ba yung model mo?" tanong ni prof.

"Papunta na po prof! na traffic lang siguro." sabi ko

"Hay nako! alam mo naman due ngayon yan diba?" sabi niya

"Akala ko po kasi next week pa eh hehe (^｡^)" sabi ko

"O sige na, 5 more minutes." sabi niya

"Thank you talaga prof!" sabi ko

Sinimangutan lang niya ako. Ay ganun! taray-tarayan ang peg?!

"Aira!" tawag ko ng pumasok Siya sa classroom namin.

"Sorry po." sabi ni Aira

"Okay Ms. Quizon you may now present your report." sabi ni prof.

At nag present na ako. Syempre with the help of my BFF hihihi!

"Very good Ms. Quizon! next!" sabi ni prof.

"Prof, may I be excused for a moment?" sabi ko

"Oh sige sige." sabi ni prof.

At lumabas na kami ni Aira sa classroom.

"Uyyy! thank you talaga ha? I owe you nanaman." sabi ko

"Okay lang yun." sabi ni Aira

"Ehem-Ehem." sabi ni Mr. Stranger

"Ay oonga pala, Maxine this is Austin and Austin this is Maxine. Austin doesn't understand tagalog, he only speaks english." sabi ni Aira

"Ahh okay! hi! I'm Maxine Rachel Quizon! and I came from faraway land!" sabi ko sabay shake hands

"Huy! ayusin mo naman." sabi ni Aira

"Joke! hahaha kidding lang!" sabi ko Kay Austin

"You're funny! I like you." sabi ni Austin

*awkward silence*

"Oh no, you got me wrong what I meant to say was I like you as a friend." sabi niya with matching peace sign.

"Ohhh hehe." sabi ko

"Umm yeah Aus, maybe you and Maxy could have tagalog lessons sometimes." sabi ni Aira

"Okay." sabi ni Austin

Nakita namin na nag-dadabog nanaman si Jasmine sa May locker niya.

"Uy babae!" tawag ko

"What happened?" tanong ni Aira

"Maxy, Airy grrr! sobrang naiinis talaga ako Kay Cameron Tubig na 'yun!" sabi ni Jasmine

"Porket Rivers lang yung apelyido ginagawa mo nang tubig!" tawa ni Aira

"LQ ulit?" tanong ko

"Hindi noh! never ever in my life ko magugustuhan yung Tubig na yun!" sabi ni Jasmine

"Jassy! Jassy!" sabi ni Cameron na papalapit sa Amin

"Hoy! 'wag mo nga akong ma Jassy Jassy! Hindi tayo close 'noh!" sabi ni Jasmine

"Fine, Ms. Santiago I humbly apologize for not attending our project meeting yesterday." sabi ni Cameron

"Tama na nga yan, mahiya naman kayo may bisita tayo ano ba!" sabi ko

"Umm hi I'm Austin Harris." sabi ni Austin

"Jasmine Santiago." sabi ni Jasmine tapos nakipag-shake hands siya.

"Yo! Cameron Rivers." sabi ni Cameron sabay bro fist.

"Ohh so you're American too?" tanong ni Austin

"Sort of, I used to live there though." sabi ni Cameron

"I see you can't understand Tagalog right?" tanong ni Jasmine

"Exactly." sabi ni Austin

Kriiinnnggg!

"I better go now see you later guys!" sabi ni Jasmine

"Bye din!" sabi ni Cameron Habang hinahabol si Jasmine

"Sige, bye also." sabi ko

"Bye! hatid ko muna si Aus, sa apartment niya vacant ko din ngayon eh." sabi ni Aira

"Sige bye!!!" sabi ko
