(MAEHARA'S POV)

It was a Saturday evening. Every lights in the neighborhood houses, including those ones in our house were out. Well, except for the night lamp that was on top of my study table.

The final exam is fast approaching and I need to catch up on my lessons. It doesn't matter if I'll get sleep deprived as long as I'm able to have high grades this final examination.

The clock's hands pointed at 11:00 when my phone just suddenly vibrated. I opened my phone and saw that it was from Karma.

{From Karma: Nee, Hiroto. I can't fall asleep. Can I call you?}

{To Karma: Sorry, babe. I'm busy studying right now.}

After sending that text, in less than a second, he replied.

{From Karma: Please? Just for a moment?}

{To Karma: Didn't I say I'm busy? Quit bothering me already!}

I really didn't mean to sound rude but I just really need to focus on studying.

{From Karma: Alright, I understand. But please call me if you're done, okay? I love you :)}

After reading the message, I closed my phone. Can't be bothered replying. He'll surely understand.

I went on with my studying. Until I dozed off to sleep. I woke up around 3AM and I was still on my desk. I stretched and opened my phone and saw that Karma really didn't bothered me. I once again went back to studying.

The sun was already up when my phone just vibrated thrice.

{From Karma: Good Morning, Hiroto!}

{From Karma: Are you still busy?}

{From Karma: How's your studying going?}

I decided to ignore him for a while. But then, within an hour, he just kept on texting me.

{From Karma: Hiro-chan? Why aren't you replying?

{From Karma: I understand you're busy but please reply.}

{From Karma: Are you okay there, Hiro?}

{From Karma: Please reply, I'm getting worried:( }

Can't he be any more annoying? I had enough of the irritating beeping and replied to him.

{To Karma: Haven't I told you I'm busy?! In which part of busy can't you understand?!}

He just doesn't get it! He's got nothing to worry about cause he's a genius and the smartest one in class. My intellectuality is nothing compared to his. Can't he give me a damn break and let me study, for fuck's sake? If I'll fail this examination, I'll have to repeat 3rd year.

{From Karma: I see. But please don't push yourself too hard, ne? I'm always here for you. I love you😘}

Thankfully, throughout the day Karma really didn't bother me anymore.
