(NAGISA'S POV)

I propped my back against the lamp post, my hands shoved deep in the pockets of my hoodie as I waited for my best friend to arrive. We've been planned this whole day hanging out for the weeks and I might have arrived a bit early.

After all, it's been a while since we've seen each other. Our works made us really busy.

This is bad, I can't be too excited.

"Sorry, I'm late!"

"No, you're actua—" When I looked up, I automatically stopped mid-sentence and stood up properly. "What happened to you?!"

"Uh... Yuuto was a bit drunk last night and was in a foul mood. I shouldn't have bothered him..." the redhead said, chuckling sheepishly as he scratched the back of his neck.

I gritted my teeth upon seeing those bruises on Karma's face that he tried covering with cream and band aids.

"You shouldn't have let him move in with you," I mumbled, trying my best to mask the unpleasantness in my tone.

It has only been a month since I've first met that Yuuto and I already suspected that there was something off about that bastard. I know he always beats up Karma up and only dates him for money. If only Karma would just listen to me and realize that. He wasn't good for him.

"He's got no other place to stay. I love him so much to leave him alone," Karma said with a smile that just made my heart wrench in a painful way.

My hands fell to my sides as I looked at him worriedly, "He didn't do anything forceful to you while he was drunk, right?"

"He never does anything to me without consent," Karma said with a smile but that wasn't enough to reassure me.

The redhead frowned for a quick moment when he saw the troubled expression on my face before he wrapped his arm over my shoulders.

"What are you frowning about? We've got a fun day ahead of us!" He beamed as he began dragging me forward.

"K-Karma..." I looked at the redhead in confusion.

"Cheer up! I've been looking forward for this!"

I sighed before giving him a smiled, "Yeah, C'mon!"

Right, I've been excited for this too.
