Mine (Kai x Ein) ~Complete~

Chapter 4

~Kai's POV~

As I pull away from our kiss, I feel a hand go up my shirt, startling me. I close my eyes and push Ein away, my eyes filling with tears.

"I'm sorry," I say, "I can't' do this!..." Before I could let Ein respond, I leaped out of his bed, and ran out of his room.

"Wait!" Is all I heard before leaving the house. I ran back to my house, shutting and locking my bedroom door. I strip off my clothing, along with my school bag, leaving me only in my bright orange underwear. As I lay there on my bed, I snuggle up into my blanket, silently crying myself to sleep.

~The Next Day~

~Ein's POV~

When I open my eyes again, I lay there on my bed, replaying the scene from yesterday.

"I'm sorry.. I can't do this!.." I keep replaying those words, over and over again in my head, as if I couldn't get enough of it.

The look on Kai's face, made my whole world shatter into a million pieces. I had tried to stop him, but before I was able to, he had already left. In my head, I knew that I should've done more, but I regret not being able to.

I look over to my left and reach out my arm towards my night stand, picking up my phone. When I turn it on, a bright light stops me in my tracks, blinding me. Once my eyes adjust to the light, I quickly turn down the brightness, hoping that I wasn't actually blind yet.

When I look at my home screen, it was of my family, my mother, father, sister and me. It was taken before we had moved to MyStreet, and before the accident. I unlock my phone and search through my contacts. I kept scrolling until I stumbled upon Aphmau's name.

~Ein~ "Hey, you awake?" 7:59 a.m.

~Aph~ "Yeah, what's up?" 8:00 a.m.

~Ein~ "Nothing much. Do you maybe have Kai's phone number??" 8:02 a.m.

~Aph~ "Yeah, I'll give it to you at school. I've gotta go,so I'll talk to ya later alright? See ya!" 8:05 a.m.

~Ein~ "Okay, see ya!" 8:05 a.m.

I turn my phone off, setting it down on my bare chest.

"*Sigh*, I guess I'll get ready too," I say mumbling under my breath. I get up from my bed and head into the bathroom to take a shower and freshen up. Once I'm done, I head towards my closet and pull out my black and purple underwear, dark blue socks and my school uniform.

I quickly get dressed, grab my school bag and run out of the door, rushing to get to school. As I near the school, I spot Kai slowly walking with his head down .

"Kai!" I yell out, hoping to catch his attention. Kai turns his head towards my direction, and quickly runs the other.

"KAI!!" I yell out again while sprinting past random people in the street. I catch attention from some of the people, but I didn't care. The only thing that mattered to me right now, was Kai. As I near Kai, I grab his wrist, hoping that it would make him stop.

"What do you *sniff* want, Ein?" I turn Kai around, noticing tear drops sliding and falling off of his cheeks.

"I knew it..." I say mumbling softly under my breath, as to not startle Kai more. I gently embrace Kai in a hug, tightening my grip on him the longer we stood there. Right then, I knew how special Kai was to me. He made me feel emotions that I had never felt with anybody before.

"What's wrong, Kai?" Kai buries his head into my chest, covering my shirt with wet spots, but I didn't care.

"Nothing. Nothing's wrong, Ein." I push him in front of me, both of my hands on his shoulders. I look directly into his sparkling orange eyes, softly petting Kai's soft, delicate hair.

"I'm not stupid Kai. Now, tell me. What's wrong??"

"It's literally nothing... Now let's get going or else we'll be late." Kai stumbles out of my grasp, almost falling onto the ground.

"Kai wait!" I reach out my hand and grab Kai's wrist, holding on tight, as to never let him. I run the opposite direction of where I was facing, slowly fading into the nearby crowd.
