"Don't tell me you're thinking about him again."

I just stood there, not responding to her.

He can't be a murderer. He's better than that.

"Y/N!"

"Yeah I am thinking about him." I blurted. "For the past 2 months I have. He's always in my head."

Jiyeon sighed in frustration.

"Wait, who? Daniel? What's the deal with you and Daniel anyway?" Daehwi asked, confused with the whole situation.

Jiyeon and I never told him about what Daniel had done. She told me not to tell anyone. I agreed with her, considering if someone had called the police, there wouldn't be any evidence to support the case.

"It's nothing," Jiyeon stuttered. "let's just go somewhere else. How about we get some burgers? sandwiches? Ooh, how about chicken wings? Ramen noo-"

"Calm down, Jiyeon!" Daehwi interrupted. "What is it with you lately?"

Jiyeon's face turned red. "Let's just go. I'm tired."

Both Daehwi and I looked at each other and shrugged. This was unusual for Jiyeon since she is usually a very bubbly person, but lately, she has been rude, except for when she offered to take us to the mall.

"Whatever," Daehwi said. "I have homework to do anyway."

Jiyeon looked at me for a response. I shrugged. "And I have nothing to do."

"Then you can come over to my house," she insisted.

"I thought you said you were tired?"

"Nah, I just wanted to get out of here. Let's go."

-

Daehwi was pretty bummed out. He didn't want to be left out from his friends. But it was a good thing he didn't follow along.
-

Once we were in front of the tall house, I waved. "See ya."

"Bye."

I frowned at his gloomy response. I wanted to say he could come along, but I had to talk to Jiyeon about her 'unusual behavior'.

She didn't say a word the whole car ride to her house. I did add a few comments here and there, but she only grinned. It creeped me out.

Minutes passed by, and we were in her house. I plopped down onto the couch and got my phone out.

Jiyeon hung her jacket on the coat hanger. "I'm going to the restroom. I'll be right back."

I nodded and looked back at my phone, staring at Daniel's name in the contacts. I missed him, honestly. I wanted to see him again. It sounds bad, but I know there's a good side to him. That is what's making me want to stay by his side.

But before I could tap on his name, I yelped, feeling a sharp pain on the side of my head.

I quickly turned my head to see Jiyeon with a baseball bat in her hand.

"Did you just try to knock me out? What the hell?!"

Jiyeon cackled as she swung again, but this time she missed me.

Why does the world always want to attack me?

"Oh Y/N, haven't you figured it out yet? Daniel is mine, and you're the one who's trying to take him away from me!"

"What? I'm not trying to take him away from you! You're crazy!" I snapped back at her.

Jiyeon swung at me once more, but it was a very sloppy swing. It was almost like she was drunk.

"Don't be silly, Y/N. I've liked him this whole time!"

Suddenly, she stopped trying to attack me, but I was still aware of what she could do. She could snap at any moment.

"Who am I kidding?" she sighed, letting the bat slip from her fingers. "He loves you, and not me. I guess i'll have to live with that."

I saw how upset she was, it made me have some sympathy for her. But as soon as I could say something, she glared at me.

"But that won't stop me from killing you."

Then she dove right into my direction.

I jumped out of the way and watched her land on the ground. She groaned as she pushed herself off of the wooden floor. Before she could come any closer to me, I rushed to the front door and turned the knob.

Locked

"What are you doing, Y/N? Trying to run away from your problems, just like you always do?"

I gasped as I saw her right behind me, the bat over her head. With confidence, I kicked her down onto the ground. I tried to run, but I felt hands wrapping around my leg, pulling me in.

"Gotcha now!"

She laughed hysterically, but she stopped once I kicked her in the face with my other leg.

I sprinted to the closest area away from Jiyeon, and that was the basement. I heard her footsteps right behind me, and I kept running. I opened the door and got in the pitch black room. "Come back her-"

I slammed the door and locked it.

"This isn't the end! I'll get in somehow!" she shouted, pounding on the door. "Don't get too comfortable with Daniel!"

Daniel?

I flipped the light switch on and covered my mouth. It was like a horror movie scene.

Daniel was tied to a chair with duct tape sealing his mouth. He had a swollen eye, and his broken arm was hanging to the side with him. There was blood.

Everywhere.
