"Don't act like this is over, Y/N! It's not!"

Jiyeon looked at me in pure anger as she jerked around in the cop's arms, trying to escape from his strong grip.

I didn't care anymore. I didn't care if she came after me.

I looked over at the stretcher with the orange - haired boy laying on top.

"I'm sorry."

That's all that would come out of my mouth. I couldn't couldn't cry anymore, it's almost as if my eyes wouldn't let me. I felt like going into a deep hole that would never let me out. I never thought anyone would do something so cruel, so horrifying.

Daniel came up from behind me and hugged me tightly. "I'm so sorry about what happened. Daehwi's in a better place now."

Those words made me weak. Hearing his name made me want to scream in agony.

"You don't know if he's dead," I cried.
"I just want all of this to be over."

My lips trembled as I spoke, my voice faint.

He let go of me, only coming up with a simple, "Me too."

He walked away into the ambulance along with Daehwi being pushed through the door on the stretcher.

I followed them inside as we rushed to the hospital. Daniel sat next to me as I leaned my head on his shoulder. Tired, I exhaled deeply from this stressful day. I felt a vibration from Daniel's body as he spoke. I didn't hear what he said.

"Hmm?"

"I said I lov- nevermind," Daniel sighed.

My eyebrows furrowed in confusion as I lifted my head off of his shoulder.

"No seriously, tell me," I insisted, nudging his arm.

He stared at the ground. "I'll tell you later."

For the rest of the ride, We didn't say one word to each other.

Y/N?

Y/N?

I fluttered my eyes open as I saw two people right in front of my face.

"Mom? Dad?" I exclaimed, hugging them in less than a second.

I pulled back only to see my dad touching my face.

"What kind of bastard did this to you?" he asked, observing the bruise on my left cheek.

"Don't worry about that. It's nothing."

He grinned at my response and gave my shoulder a light pat. "My little pumpkin's tough."

I cringed at his nickname he made for me as my mom chuckled.

"A kind, young man brought you in here while you were still asleep," she smiled. "I guess he didn't want to wake you up. What was his name again? Kang Danielle?"

I snickered. "Daniel. Danielles' a girl name."

"My bad," she laughed. "He also wanted me to tell you that he won't be at school tomorrow because of his injuries."

"You're also not going to school tomorrow after what happened earlier. Tomorrow's Friday too, so you get a long weekend," Dad clarified.

I looked out the car window and saw someone in front of my house. He glared at me through the window, his arms crossed. I started to get a sick feeling, I knew something wasn't right.

"Isn't that Vernon?"
