"Daehwi?"
He was holding Jiyeon's bloody baseball bat, transfixed. Jiyeon was on the ground next to his feet. She was far from being awake. Daehwi looked down at her, then looked up at me. "I knew there was something suspicious about Jiyeon!"
I could see the fear in his eyes as the words came out of his mouth. I quickly ran over to him, locking him in my arms. "You just saved our lives" I thanked him, smiling. Daniel and I were finally going to leave this place.
After I pulled away from the hug, Daniel cleared his throat.
"I -uh, need a little help here."
"Oh!" I said, quickly pulling him up from the chair and wrapping his arm around my shoulder.
Jiyeon will be up soon, considering Daehwi didn't hit her that hard. She's basically a witch, insane and powerful.
Daehwi reached his arms out to Daniel. "You can go in my car. I got Daniel."
"I got him, you can go ahead and call the police, and make sure that Jiyeon doesn't wake up too soon" I insisted.
Daehwi slowly nodded and walked out of the room, setting a depressing mood. It was obvious, Daehwi liked Jiyeon. The way he looked at her when she giggled, or that one time milk ran down from her nose when she laughed too hard in the cafeteria at my corny jokes in the 6th grade. Those were good times, but now, he looked at her with a cold expression, as she layed there after she showed her true self.
"Y/N?" Daniel softly spoke, sending chills down my spine after he had just broke the utter silence.
Closing my eyes, I smacked my forehead. "Yeah, sorry. Let's go."
I walked and Daniel limped out of the house. He still needed my help, since he might have twisted his ankle, possibly from trying to escape this place.
He grunted as he stepped inside of the small, red car. I dialed Daehwi's number into my phone and called. No answer. It buzzed into my hand as I looked at the screen. It was a text message from Jiyeon. I felt like I was crushed by a giant foot, I new something was bad already.
Jiyeon: Daehwi isn't coming down anytime soon. If you want him, you better get him ;)
I let out a shout in anger as I kicked the side of the car. Daniel looked at me in confusion as I glared into the phone.
"She isn't going to get what she wants" I muttered under my breath, stomping into the backyard.
"Wait! What are you doing?" Daniel yelled from behind me, but I didn't answer. I just kept running, running until I found what I needed.
I came across the shed, Jiyeon's dad's shed. I barged it open, scanning through the tools. I remember seeing this shed when we were younger. We always used to roll around in the grass next to the shed like foolish little kids, which we were.
A shiny object caught the corner of my eye. I grabbed it from the hook on the wall. It was an axe.
"Jackpot."
I looked around once more, and I saw a black case right in front of me. I opened it, and saw the outline of a gun. The actual gun was missing.
A gun vs. an axe? Fine. We'll do it your way, Jiyeon.
I slammed the case shut. A voice called out to me from behind.
"You find what you need?"
I turned around only to see the actual devil.
"Yeah, I did."
I smirked, trying not to show my true emotion. Inside, I was horrified.
Jiyeon scoffed. "An axe?"
She swiftly pointed the gun at me. "I think I found myself a loser."
I saw someone creeping up from behind her.
Daehwi strikes again. A true life saver.
"Say your last words before you won't have any" Jiyeon demanded, not expecting her fate.
I chuckled. "Or maybe you should do that."
Before she could pull the trigger,
Daehwi put Jiyeon in a chokehold. He bobbed his head, sending the signal that I don't have much time to call the police.
I called them and told them all of the imformation they needed to know as Jiyeon's blood rushed up to her head.
Daehwi made a face indicating that he was struggling. Then he mouthed out the words, 'run'.
I refused as I shook my head, but Daehwi finally yelled louder than i've ever heard in my entire life.
"JUST GO HOME!"
I was shocked by how strong and controlling he was. I sprinted to the car, not looking back.
Sirens wailed, and blue and red lights blinded me. The cars pulled up and the police jogged up to me.
"Are you Y/N L/N?"
I could not reply, and I could not show any sign of saying yes.
All because of a blood - curdling cry that came from the shed that wasn't Jiyeon's.
