He could only stare at me in astonishment, but that was over once an abrupt ringtone filled the room.

"Hang on," I said to Daniel, picking up the phone.

"Hello? This is Y/N L/N, correct?" a voice said from the other side of the line.

"That's me. What's going on?"

"I'm calling to inform you that Lee Daehwi is conscious and recovering here at the hospital. He wanted you to be the first person that we call," the woman said, causing me to cheer uncontrollably.

I pressed mute on the phone and jumped around the house, dancing in complete joy.

"HE'S ALIVE! HE'S ALIVE!"

Daniel looked at me in confusion. "Who?"

"Daehwi!" I responded, still shouting with happiness filling me.

Daniel only smiled a little bit. He didn't look as happy as me. I was going to question his sudden change of emotions, but the woman cut me off.

"Hello?"

I turned the mute button off and quickly replied. "Oh! Thank you so much for telling me!"

"You are wel-"

I hung up. Running over to Daniel, I pulled him up from the couch. "Let's go to the hospital!"

Daniel groaned. "Not there again."

"Y/N? You came," Daehwi said, weakly.

His skin was pale, and you could barely hear him speak. I hugged him gently while he was still laying down.

"I'm glad you're okay," I said, still keeping him in my arms.

"You like hugs don't you?" he laughed dryly, trying to push me off of him. He struggled, so I got up for him. He was in bad condition.

"I'll leave you alone for tonight," I said. "I'll visit you tomorrow."

"And bring me a giant cake!"

I just laughed at him and waved.

"Bye, Daeweird."

"Bye, Pabo."

I looked over at Daniel. He was playing on his phone, not paying attention to me whatsoever. "Let's go, Daniel."

He jumped slightly, almost dropping his phone. "Okay!"

I giggled at his clumsiness.

"But this time, I'm driving," he said as we walked out.

"Fine."

As I sat in the car, I saw that we were in an unfamiliar area. It was already dark outside, so I wouldn't be able to recognize where we were.

"Where are we going?" I questioned as I started to become worried. This wasn't close to being Daniel's house or mine at all.

"You'll see," he smirked.

Where would he be taking me?

Then I saw school.

And the pizza place.

He pulled up to the restaurant and parked.

"This is where you wanted to take me?" I asked, laughing.

"Yes," he said as we got out of the car.

Once we reached the door, he grabbed my hand, causing my cheeks to feel hot. I looked up at him, and he looked back at me, smiling. I quickly turned my head. There was a weird feeling developing deep down in my stomach.

Why was I feeling this way again?

I looked inside and saw nobody in there. "It's closed," I said, tugging Daniel's arm. "Let's leave."

"No wait." he blurted, staying in place. "I want to show you something."

"My grandparents own this place, so we aren't breaking the law or something." he added.

He unlocked the door and brought me inside. It smelled like fresh pizza, making me hungry.

"Since I was getting out of the hospital today, I wanted to bring you here for dinner," he said, "but you already brought me pizza today."

He was going to take me out today?

"It wouldn't be bad to have pizza twice a day, right?" he exclaimed, running to the back of the counter.

I giggled, sprinting in the direction he went. "Wait!" I shouted, almost slipping on the floor.

The door to the kitchen swung back and forth as Daniel went inside.

I stumbled my way in, panting. "How do you have so much energy after you just had surgery?" I asked, holding my knees as I huffed.

He shrugged and laughed, childishly. "Follow me!"

And how do you run so fast with a heavy cast on?

I shook my head and chuckled. Before I could make my way in, I felt a dry powder hit my face. I squinted, trying my best not to get it in my eyes.

Daniel guffawed at me, causing me to get annoyed. "What the heck, dude?"

I rubbed my eyes open and scolded at him. He had a huge grin on his face, holding flour in his hand. He slowly approached me, getting ready to throw the flour at me again.

There was a bag of flour laying right beside me on a counter. I looked at his face and smirked. "Oh it's on!"

I scooped a handful of flour into my hand and chucked it at him.

"Flour fight!" he shouted, throwing more flour at me. I skipped around the kitchen, dodging his shots.

For at least an hour, we were jumping around the kitchen, throwing flour at each other. We didn't worry about paying for the flour that we wasted, or how much we had to clean off of the floor. We just kept messing around like little kids.

I was now covered in the white substance, backing away from Daniel. I was at a dead end, the wall right behind me.

"You've got nowhere to go now, baby," Daniel teased, ignoring the fact he had just called me 'Baby'.

My heart was pounding against my chest as I stepped over a broom that was right behind me. Daniel didn't see the broom, so he ended up tripping over it. His hands were pressed against the wall that was now touching my back.

He looked into my eyes, gently placing his lips on mine without a second thought.

Pulling away from me, he whispered into my ear. "I think that answers your question from earlier."
