"EDEN!!!"

"Eden!!! You better be cleaning this packhouse!! If it's not done before the pack warriors and I are back I'm going to make you suffer!"

A loud, enraged voice broke her from her sleep. Her eyes flew open as the rest of her body jolted under the voice's dominance.

She ripped the covers off her body with only an oversize t-shirt to cover her bare form. The girl looked down at herself. Dark purple bruises were visible on her inner thighs caused by last night's events. She shook away the thought.

The girl knew if the Alpha saw her still in bed, there was going to be a lot of pain to follow.

She heaved herself out of the bed and ran towards the sink in the corner of the room. She placed both hands on the side of the rusty sink trying to catch her breath.

She used her skinny fingers to comb back her hair into a messy bun. She reached for her toothbrush and quickly cleaned her teeth. With her hands, she cupped the running water and splashed it over her face.

As an attempt to dry her face, the girl pulled up the bottom of her shirt but was instantly distracted by the disgusting reflection looking back.

Through the broken, scratched-up mirror, the girl noticed her heavy eyes staring back. Her left eye was half-shut, touched with a dark purple ring forming around it. In the corner of her small mouth was a deep cut on her bottom lip. The young girl's entire face was swollen and red. Her head began to throb as she remembered why she looked the way she did.

Scanning down the rest of her body, she noticed she was thin. She was so painfully thin that one wrong move would snap her in two. There were bite marks and more bruises from last night  all over the young girl's form. She inhaled a sharp breath. The stinging feel of tears began in the corner of her eyes as they threatened to fall.

She lifted her nose to smell the air. The Alpha and his warriors were gone. This meant the rest of the pack - the women and children - were outside enjoying the sun. But for her, this meant the whole pack house had to be spotless.

She headed out to the kitchen carefully, ensuring no one saw her. It was made very clear that if she was seen by any wolf in this pack, she would get a beating.

The girl started clearing the bench and tables. There were beer bottles all over the place, either in perfect shape, or smashed.

Every 23rd night of July, this pack would block out their wolves and bring their entire human form to the surface. This is the only way wolves are able to get drunk without their wolf sobering them up.

This night is the Night of Celebration, the day their Alpha, Alpha Vince took over Waterside pack.

The young girl despises his name. She spits on his name. He killed innocent wolves. He murdered her entire pack. Her Alpha. Her family. And unfortunately for her, she was their only survivor.

She was at the young age of 12 when he and his pack invaded her own, taking everything from her. And now, she is locked away. From everyone and everything.

As the young girl was deep in thought, a gentle touch was felt on her bony shoulder. The small girl jumped by instinct and shuddered away. She hesitantly turned to face whatever it was that had touched her. Fear invaded her mind. She waited for whatever pain was to come as punishment for being seen.

A man watched her with sadness burning in his eyes. The young girl recognised him, he is one of the Alpha's warriors.

"I'm so sorry you're going through this, he," There was so much sincerity in his voice. "I came to give you this piece of bread. I know it's not much but it was all my mate and I could sneak you."
