Thirteen years earlier
The bomber plane was big, hefty, and hard to fly alone. If enough of the bombs it carried were used, the world would be almost completely wiped out. That's why he was picked. They thought him to be trustworthy enough to not drop these dangerous hunks of metal all in one spot, spread them all out, spread out the pain.
The pilot chuckled to himself. They were so, so stupid. He pulled down his microphone. "Launch bomb one in three..." He chuckled to himself again. "...Two..." A suicide mission, but worth it, he thought to himself. "...One..."
He pulled back the bright red lever, releasing the most fearsome and destructive missile he had. He laughed as the explosive fell, all his cohorts laughing with him. That's the last thing they heard before the enormous explosion and nothing. Or so they thought.
