Marinette facepalmed herself.
"Why did I think I could do this Tikki?" She whined.
"You can do it Marinette!" Tikki encouraged. "Besides, you already said you would do it, so it's too late to turn back now."
"What do you mean by that?"
Marinette yelped suddenly as a weight fell on her back."Alya!" She screeched, "You scared me!"
"I can't believe you're going to do it GIRL!!" Alya squealed, still clinging onto her best friend.
"That's what I mean," Tikki whispered to Marinette from her pigtail.
"I can't either," Marinette complained to Alya, "I actually not sure if I can do it."
"Oh no you don't," The brunette said, letting go of Marinette to look her in the eye with a death stare. "You already said you would do it, so it's too late to turn back now," She said, copying Tikki's words almost exactly.
"Fine," Marinette sighed, accepting defeat.
"Hey dudes," said a familiar voice. The girls turned around to see Nino and Adrien entering the room, Nino waving and Adrien...
Adrien looked mad as hell.
He had dark circles under his eyes, the left one slightly twitching, with his teeth bared and clenched, and within five feet of him, you could hear him growling.
Of course, Marinette knew from the hours on end she spent studying his facial expressions that something was up.
"A-are ok y-you, I mean, you are ok? I mean, Are you ok?" She said, stumbling through her words.
"Yeah, fine," he mumbled, taking his seat as the teacher walked into the classroom.
As class started and went on, Alya constantly shouldered her friend, nodding her head at the blonde below whenever she got the bluenette's attention, making her a tomato every time she did.
Near the end of class, another nudge from Alya gave Marinette a boost.
She tore the corner off a piece of paper, and wrote,
I like you.
-MarinetteShe reached over her desk, attempting to throw it onto his.
Suddenly, the teacher turned, and Marinette sprung straight, dropping the paper. She watched it land in Adrien's hair and winced at her failure.
Having felt something on his head, Adrien touched around his head and grasped the paper.
Marinette squealed inside as she watched Adrien read the note, Alya staring right along with her.
He looked up and turned his head to look at the embarrassed girl.
And did the inconceivable.
He rolled his eyes at her, crumbling the tiny piece of paper, tossed it back at her, and turned back to front, looking absolutely disinterested the entire time.
Alya and Marinette gaped at Adrien, Marinette fighting tears.
Within thirty seconds, the lunch bell rang, and before Alya could comfort her, a rejected Marinette had run from the classroom, tears spilling from her eyes.
Author's Note
I can't believe you actually went this far into my crappy story!!
So you know, the sin will start next chapter, and chapters will also get longer. Be sure to stick around for that!
I am mostly writing on an iPod, so it takes longer for me to write chapters.
I'll be coming out with a chapter a week, and hopefully I'll be able to keep it consistent.
Thank you!
See you next chapter!
