"Where are the balloons! They should have been up by now! And the tables! Are they set? What about the cake? Where is the cake!"

I am currently freaking out.

Alya and Nino are helping me throw a surprise baby shower for Mari since she didn't want one, and were able to rally the entire class (minus Chloe and Lila {Surprise, Surprise!}) to help. Even so, I think I'm being. crazy enough for all of them to back out.

"Dude, calm down," Nino says, tapping me on the back.

"Calm down? How can I calm down? Mari comes back from her doctors appointment in two hours, and nothing is done!" I start hyperventilating, and Nino calls Alya over, clearly overwhelmed by my stress. Alya looks at me like everything is fine, and I start ranting worriedly again.

"She's not going to like it! She's going to hate me, then break up with me, then say she won't let me see my child, and-"

"And stop." Alya interrupts. "Breathe, Adrien." I take a few deep breaths before she continues. "Marinette stressed like this all the time back before this whole mess."

"Really?" I ask, curious.

"Oh yeah," Alya says, sounding about ready to tell me a million embarrassing stories about Mari.

"She was always worried about something completely irrational, like you are now, and go off on tangents about crazy things that would happen. Don't worry." She looks around before leaning in and continuing. "Don't tell anyone I told you this, but she might even love you more than me."

I burst out laughing. "Really?"

"If you tell anyone I told you this, Agreste, I will bust you up so bad you and Mari will only ever have this one child."

I shut up at that, giving her a frantic nod before turning back towards the party decorating.

"Don't forget to make sure your surprise is good too!" She calls from behind me.

My surprise. It's the part I'm most stressed about, above all. I play around with the small box in my pocket, taking a couple of deep breaths before going into the kitchen.

~Two Hours Later~

"Are we there yet?"

"No."

"What about now?"

"Still no."

"Now?"

"I'll tell you when we are there, ok, Mari?"

"Fine."

Adrien is leading me God-knows-where, blindfolded. I'm excited, but also very sure that it's the baby shower I asked not to have, they are of course going to have one anyway.

"We're here now." I feel him untie the blindfold, and when I can see, my suspicions are confirmed.

"SURPRISE!" We're in the park, and the entire class stands before me, purple balloons all around us, and a huge cake on a table in the back.

"You guys do know I said I didn't want a baby shower, right?"

"Well then I guess we're terrible friends," Alya smirks.

"The worst."

"Come to the cake!" My mom squeals. "I made the filling based off the sex of the baby. Strawberry for a girl, blueberry for a boy." My mom already knows the gender of the baby, but other than her, Adrien and me, it's a mystery.

"Yeah, Mari!" Alya squeals, equally as excited. "Your mom wouldn't let anyone in the kitchen while she made the cake. We're all dying to know!" We walk over to the cake, which stands at 4 layers tall. It's decorated with purple frosting, with, "Congratulations!" in vibrant purple frosting on top.

My dad comes up with a knife and a tall stack of plates, taking one and handing it to me with the knife. Adrien puts his hand on my waist, taking the knife with me with his other hand. Together, we cut a slice out of the cake. Everyone cheers as we put the slice on the plate, bright red strawberry jelly oozing from the cake.

"I'm gonna have a granddaughter!" Dad cheers.

Nino groans, and I'm confused until I see him give Alya twenty bucks. "Knew it," she snickers.

"Really, man?" Adrien chuckles.

"I should've known better." Nino grumbles. "She's always right."

The baby shower goes on for about three hours, with music and food, and weird games, but for some reason everyone is still here.

Alya is talking to Adrien, clearly making him nervous. She claps him on the back, clearly a little to hard for him, and he awkwardly walks back to me.

"You okay, Adrien?" I ask.

"Um...uhh...yeah... I'm, uhh, I'm fine." He stutters the way I used to, worrying me a little.

"Ok then..." I dismiss his awkwardness and move on to another topic, sparing him. "Why is everyone still here? I mean, we've been here for hours already."

Adrien doesn't answer, instead he rubs his neck awkwardly, as if he were nervous or scared.

"What's wrong, Adrien?"

"I'm..." He looks down at his feet, clearly stalling.

"Marinette...you...I...you mean everything to me. And I...I don't deserve you, but you still love me, and I-"

"Are you breaking up with me?" I say, confused and paranoid.

"NO! God no! Marinette, it's literally the opposite, I..." He looks at me, and I suddenly realize everyone's eyes have shifted to us too.

And when I look back to Adrien, he's on one knee.

"Marinette, I love you to the ends of the universe. Will you-"

"YES!"

"But you don't even know what I-"

"You were asking me to marry you, and I said yes, now get up here and kiss me."

Adrien stands, and I grab him by his hair and pull him to my lips, kissing him like there's no tomorrow.
