"Adrien!" I whine.

"Yes, princess?" He responds, smiling ups at me.

"Carry me?"

"Anything for my lady." Slinging his bag over his shoulder, he walks up the steps and picks me up bridal style. I giggle, and Nino and Alya roll their eyes at our silliness.

It's been a couple months since Adrien woke up. Adrien was released from the hospital a week after he woke up. The minute he got out, he went on a mission to be the best father in Paris. He went out buying everything from cribs to toys. He spoiled me rotten, giving me massages and buying me food. Alya and Nino have been totally supportive, and it's gone without saying that they're going to be the godparents.

Adrien carries me out the door, Alya and Nino trailing behind us. He slows down at the stairs, but once we're at the bottom, he almost skips to my mom's car out front.

"How was school?" Mom asked. I open my mouth to respond, but Adrien beats me to it.

"School? What school?" He says excitedly. "I just remember getting in the car. Speaking of which, OFF TO THE DOCTOR!!"

"You are most definitely the first teenage boy to say that in the history of Paris-no, the world," Dad says.

"Is it so bad to want to see my little baby?"

Adrien has already gone to couple of ultrasounds, and every time he squeals like a child on Christmas morning, waking up to see the presents under the Christmas tree.

And today, we go in to find out the sex of our baby.

Adrien is excited enough for the four of us, plus Alya and Nino, and he can't stop bouncing happily the whole way to the doctor.

I sign in and wait in the lounge to be called, and Adrien rants until I'm nearly irritated.

"I wonder if it's a boy. A cute little baby boy. I could teach him to fence. And if he didn't want to fence, we could play baseball together. But what if he wanted to draw? I could learn to draw for a baby boy. Or girl. It could be a girl. She would be beautiful, like you Mari. I could buy her clothes. Or, if she didn't want clothes, I could get her a football. Oh, I'd love that baby girl. Or boy! It could be a boy too! I would-"

"Marinette Dupain-Cheng?" A nurse called. I sighed in relief, not able to tell Adrien to cut it out.

We stood up and followed the nurse thorough a couple hallways, and she opened the door to a small room. A reclining hospital chair and a screen were inside, plus a couple of chairs on the side.

I sat in the reclining chair, and Adrien stood next to me as the nurse said that the doctor would come soon.

After about a minute, I realize that Adrien hasn't resumed his rant. I look up at him, and his face has gone pale, and he has a look of complete horror.

"Adrien?" He blinks, snapping back to reality, and looks down at me, smiling to try and cover up his look from before.

"What's wrong?" I persist. He drops the act, nervously rubbing the back of his neck.
