Zombie Mash Part 3

  I wake up to my phone ringing. The song is TTYL XOX so I know it's Bree. Groggily I reach over to my nightstand and grab the device. "Hello?" I answer as I feel a pair of arms around me and causing me to become momentarily confused before I remember that Zed took a nap with me. "Hey I just wanted to let you know that I'll be at your house in like five minutes." Bree tells me. "Ok I should be up by then." I tell her. Zed tightens his grip on me and begins to stir. "Okay bye." Bree says. "Bye see you in a few." I say before hanging up the phone. "Who was that?" Zed mumbles into my hair. "It was just Bree." I say smiling at how cute he is when he just wakes up. "What did she want?" Zed asks. "She was just calling to tell me she'll be here in like five minutes." I reply. Why?" He asks. "Why what?" I ask. "Why is she coming over?" Zed clarifies. "Probably to get ready with me for the Zombie Mash tonight like she said she would this morning." I reply. "She sure is gonna be early." Zed states now more awake. "Yeah it's only...4:00! On my God Zed she's not early we're super late!" I exclaim hopping out of bed. "No, Addy come lay back down." Zed whines. "Zed I've gotta get ready for the Zombie Mash. You should head home and do the same." I say. "Just five more minutes?" Zed asks giving me that sexy-sleepy smile that I can't resist. Not that I've ever tried, but then again why would I want too? Besides it's not exactly torture for me to lay with him, quite the opposite. I'm almost as bummed as he is about the situation. "Fine but just until Bree gets here. Then you're going home." I say crawling back in the bed with him. "I can live with that." Zed says pulling me closer so we're cuddled together. A few minutes later, I hear the front door open downstairs. "Addy? Addy where are you?" Bree calls. "I'm upstairs in my room." I holler back. "Zed, Bree's here." I tell my boyfriend. "I know." He grumbles face down in the pillow. "Oh don't be such a sour puss. Come on, get up." I tell him getting out of bed right as the door opens. "Hey Addy. Hey Zed..." Bree trails off noticing Zed's face buried in a pillow. "Hey Bree." I greet. "Hi Bree." Zed mumbles into the pillow. "Are you okay Zed?" Bree asks. "No." Zed answers. "What's wrong?" Bree asks. "Oh don't mind him, the big baby is just pouting because I'm making him go home." I say before Zed can answer. "I'm not pouting." Zed denies. "Okay whatever you say dear." I joke. "Well if you're gonna tease me I'm leaving." He continues to pout. "Oh come on Sour Puss I'll walk you to the door." I say taking his hand. "Bree you can go ahead and set everything up in my bathroom." I tell my best friend before Zed and I leave the room. "Okay." She says as the door closes. Still holding Zed's hand I lead him down the stairs.

     Addy and I were having such an enjoyable nap, but then her phone just had to ring. I didn't want to wake up but I did anyways. When she got off the phone and told me Bree would be over in five minutes I knew there was no way we were going back to sleep, I did however manage to convince Addison to lay back down with me until Bree got to the house. It felt so good sleeping with Addison, we didn't kiss or play around or anything. Just holding her in my arms was enough to make me happy and content. So when Bree showed up I knew I was gonna have to leave. When I was little I used the believe that if I couldn't see something it would disappear. I tried that with Bree by burying my face in one of Addison's pillows but of course, it didn't work. Don't get me wrong Bree's great, I like her a lot. I kinda have to since she's my girlfriend's best friend and my best friend's girlfriend, but sometimes she has the worst timing. I know it's not really her fault though. After Addy teased me about being pouty I figured I should probably leave so I stood up. When Addison offered to walk me to her door I was inwardly thrilled. As we make our way down the stairs holding hands I trace random patterns on the back of her hand. When we reach the door Addy turns to face me. "So I'll see you in a few hours?" I ask. "Yeah." Addy replies. "Bye, love you." I say giving her a quick kiss. "Love you too." She says giving me a kiss before closing the door behind me. As I walk away from her house I can't help but feel super excited for the Zombie Mash.

  After Zed leaves I run back upstairs to my room and find Bree waiting on my bed. "Hey I haven't eaten anything since this morning and I have a juicy story to tell you about today. Do you wanna come downstairs with me?" I ask Bree. "Yeah sure. I could eat too." Bree says. "K lets go." I say and the two of us head downstairs to the kitchen. "I think I'm gonna have a grilled cheese. Was there anything in specific you wanted?" I ask my BFF who's sitting at the counter. "No a grilled cheese sounds great." Bree answers. "Okay." I say gathering the ingredients from the refrigerator. "So you said you had a good story for me?" Bree asks. "Right." I say. I go on to tell her everything that happened since she left earlier that day. "Wait So Bucky and Eliza caught you two?" Bree asks when I'm finished talking. "Yep." I say serving up he'd grilled cheese. "Was it as awkward as I think it would have been?" Bree asks. "Probably worse. I swear I'm never gonna be able to look my cousin in the eye again." I say. "Yeah but at least it wasn't your parents." Bree points out. "That is so true." I reply taking a bite of my sandwich. "This grilled cheese is amazing." Bree says. "Thanks, I put sugar on it." I tell her. "You're a culinary genius." Bree tells me. "Why thank you." I say stuffing the last bit of my sandwich in my mouth. "Well we should probably go get ready." Bree says brushing the crumbs from her hands. "Yeah let's go." I say standing up. Bree stands up too and together we head back upstairs to my bedroom.
Once we're in my room I head to my closet and grab my shiny, electric blue cold shoulder top and black cut off shorts. "Hey I'm just gonna change in my closet." I tell Bree. "Okay I'll change out here." Bree tells me. "Okay." I say, already stripping. I change out of my pajamas and put on the outfit. ""Bree? Are you dressed?" I ask. "Yeah you can come on out." She says. I walk out of the closet. "You look great." I say. "Thanks so do you." Bree tells me.
"Thanks."I say. "You're welcome now we should probably do something with our hair." Bree says. "Yeah probably." I agree. "What are you gonna do to yours?" I ask. "I think I'll straighten it and pin it back." Bree tells me. "That's gonna be cute. I'm gonna curl mine and put a bump in it." I say. "Ooh that's a great idea for you." Bree tells me. "Well lets get to it." I say. The two of us head to my bathroom and plug in the straightener and curling iron. As we fix our hair Bree and I talk about our boyfriends, school and life in general. Finally Bree is done with her hair and I'm putting the finishing touches on mine. "Next makeup." I say. "Way ahead of you." Bree says pulling out her makeup bag. "Okay then." I say opening the drawer that holds all my makeup and pulling out my eyeshadow palette, mascara, eyeliner, blush colored lipstick and foundation.
As the two of us do our makeup my phone buzzes signaling a text message, probably from Zed. "Addy your phone buzzed." Bree tells me. "I know it's probably Zed. He can wait till I'm done with my makeup." I tell her. "Okay." Bree says. A few minutes later I'm done with my makeup so I pick up my phone. The message is indeed from Zed: Meet me on the roof before the Zombie Mash ends tonight. Also don't tell anyone.

Confused I text back: Why?

It's a surprise. See you tonight. I love you!

I love you too!💋💋💋💋

"So what did Zed want?" Bree asks snapping me out of my musing about Zed's surprise. "Oh nothing he just wanted to tell me he loves me." I lie.
"Oh well that's sweet." Bree says. "I know right." I say. "So are you ready?" Bree asks. "Ready when you are." I reply. "Okay then let's go." Bree says. "Yeah let's." I say and together with Zed's mysterious surprise occupying my thoughts, Bree and I leave my house and head to ZombieTown.
