You recently got thrown into Arkam Asylum for 'Accidentally' burning your house down with a few family members inside. Everyone thought you were a mute. But you just simply didn't want to talk, and your family outcasted you for that. So when a new 'mute' person arrived no one really care. And you were happy for that. Until, Jerome gets bored with his goons and decides to look for some fun. When his eyes land on you and realizes that you're a person who doesn't talk, he makes it his mission to make you talk. That means bugging you every day. When that doesn't work, he takes it a step further. By, casually, threatening your life with a knife. Once the knife was touching your throat you finally gave up the act.
