Jieun came out of the toilet in slightly swollen eyes and a red nose.
She stared at her reflection in disgust. How could she have let that devil get into her head again? She bit her lips in anger. Next time she sees him, she had promised herself that she was not going to be affected one bit.
But it was easier said than done. Lunch time came around and Felix was seen being cozy with a girl. Anyone could tell they were flirting from miles away. Weird tingles clutched Jieun's heart as she felt her eyes somewhat stinging.
She dug her nails into her palm and acted not to care. They had broken up months ago anyway. It was pathetic to dwell onto an ex who didn't give a shit. She hate her feelings which wouldn't listen to her one bit.
"Hey, Jieun. I have someone to introduce you to," Sohye said in a creepily sweet tone.
"Eh, what has gotten into you? The way you are speaking is creeping me out," Jieun eyed her suspiciously.
Jieun looked beside Sohye who was sitting at their usual table and saw a guy in black T-shirt with black jeans. He looked intimidating for the first impression. His lips were pursed and he gave off a "I am Dark" vibe.
"Hey, this is Changbin - a friend I met at detention," Sohye gestured to the guy.
Jieun's eyes widened.
"What did you do this time?" She sighed as she sat across the couple.
"It wasn't my fault! I just simply forgot my workbook and Mrs. Grumpy thought it was convenient to let her anger out on me," Sohye scoffed.
"How is that not your fault," Jieun tsked.
Changbin cleared his throat to make his presence known.
"Hi, I am Changbin. You are Jieun, right?" He smiled and all his dark aura disappeared. He turned into a bunny with a smile so big that his teeth were showing.
"Oh, hi. Yeah," Jieun was taken aback by his friendly tone. The saying 'Don't judge a book by its cover' was true after all.
She quickly unpacked the sandwich she had bought and bit into it so that she wouldn't have to converse. She wasn't in the mood to befriend anyone; especially the male species.
The couple in front didn't mind though. They were busy talking about anything and everything as if they were the only survivors of the whole world. Sparks literally flew around them.
'Friends'.
'Yeah, right' Jieun rolled her eyes mentally. She was so going to have to suffer the hours of Sohye's fangirling soon.
