It's almost 1 o'clock in the morning and I'm still up. Storm is beside me on the couch snoring ever so lightly and I really don't know if I want to wake her up but I know one thing for sure we're not going into the system.

"Storm, Storm wake up baby," I say shaking her shoulder until she wakes up.

"What, what's wrong," she asks and put my finger up to my mouth to tell her to be quiet and I carefully pick her up with her blanket and we walk out the back door and continue onto our new journey.

I carry her for about 3 miles before I put her down and let her walk. We aren't too far from an upcoming neighborhood when she tells me she has to pee.

"Just go in the bushes," I tell her and she shakes her head vigorously.

"There might be animals or monsters, please ZayZay can I just ask someone can I use their bathroom?"

"Sure but their aren't monsters out there and I have to go with you." I tell her.

We finally get to a neighborhood and it's big houses and all I can think is "who's going to be awake this time a night" and "omg, they're going to think we're thieves,"

She goes up to one of the big doors and pounds on it with her little fists but they're so soft I know no one will hear it so I start pounding also.

"Who is it?" I hear a woman on the other side of the door.

"Can I use your bathroom ma'am, please," my sister says hobbling from side to side.

The door opens slightly and I see a young woman she looks at me and then at Storm, she closes the door and we hear her undo a latch before she opens the door all the way.

"The bathroom is straight down that hallway" she says pointing towards a dark hall.

"ZayZay it's dark can you come with me?" She asks and I look at the woman and she nods following behind us.

"Hurry up" I tell the child in front of me when she turns ands says,

"You don't have to come in I just need you to turn the light on," and I give her the face

I think the woman sees my face because she lets out a shy smile before asking me a couple of questions

I think the woman sees my face because she lets out a shy smile before asking me a couple of questions.

"How old is she?" She asks while showing her pearly whites.

"She's 4 almost 5" I tell her.

"She seems sweet but I asked because I've been trying to guess your age," she says

"I'm 16," I tell her and her eyes go wide.

"Your only 16 with a 4 year old"

"Wait, wait, wait, no she's my sister oh my god you thought she was my daughter?" I say and it's my turn to laugh.
