I wake up the smell of something burning and I quickly push what weight is on top of me off and see that it was my sister who is still sleeping and rush downstairs.
"Babe stop you're going to burn down the whole house," Nicki says and I continue my way downstairs.
"Do you guys need help?" I ask
"No baby, but thanks though," Nicki tells me.
"I could use your help." The man says.
"Okay, what do you need me to do," I ask walking over to him.
"Do you know how to make scrambled eggs?" He asks and I nod.
"Good, because clearly I don't," he says referring to the burning smell and I laugh as I'm walking over to the pan only to see the once silver pan is now scorched.
"Damn!! This bih look like you tried to cook charcoal" I said picking up the pan and turn to see Nickis face and it's hilarious.
"You do not touch anything in this kitchen that needs to be cooked." She says looking at August before turning towards me and saying,
"And you watch your mouth," and I put my hands up in defeat before going back to making the eggs. Once I finish that it looks like everything is done.
"Aren't you going to wake up your sister," Nicki asks looking at me and I shake my head.
"She'll complain that it's too hot, so we usually just wait for hers to cool off." I tell her and she nods while setting the table and we hear little pitter-patters come down the stairs. When low and behold my little sister appears rubbing her eyes. She runs over to me and hugs my legs.
"I thought you leave me," she says squeezing my legs and I laugh at her.
"I can't leave you," I say hoisting her into a chair only to realize she has a bed head.
"Eat so I can fix your hair," I tell her and she looks in her bowl,
"There's nothing in there," she says looking up at me.
"No duh Sherlock," I say
"Don't call me Sherlock when you told me to eat and there's nothing in the bowl you... you... you Big Snoopy dodo bird," she says and everyone starts laughing including me.
"That's right you tell her, say if you want me to eat then fix my plate woman!" August says reaching across the table for a high five that he gladly receives.
"Well if there's nothing in your plate don't you think you should probably put something there?" She stops and thinks for a moment then I hit her with that,
"Exactly dummy,"
"I not no dummy you meanie," she says.
"I'm not a dummy," I say correcting her.
"I didn't call you a dummy, so haha" she says.
"I know you didn't, I just corrected you,"
"It sounded correct to me," August said from across the table and I can tell he's serious.
"Okay nobody's a dummy so can we please eat now?" Nicki says and we all nod our heads. I fix me and Storms food before handing the stuff to them.
