Normani K. Hamilton we are pleased to say that you will be joining us for your first year at a school made for your talents. We pay for your books and half of your housing fee if you decide it's best to stay on campus, however as we're paying for your housing we expect you to be on time and at your highest peak in ALL of your classes. Your schedule is on the back of this letter and we hope you enjoy your time here with us Exceed Oakland Academy. Our schools orientation date is Saturday, August 17 at 11:00am, 2:00pm and 5:00pm. "Daddy, I got in!!" I scream at him before jumping into his arms, still whispering "I got in" into his broad shoulders, when my mom and sisters walk through the door.
"What's going on here?" My mother asks sitting down her black and white Fendi bag.
"I got into EOA," I tell my mom finally calming down a bit, "I'll be back I gotta call Dinah and Kehlani," I say rushing upstairs to do just that. I get them on FaceTime and we scream together.
"I'll be picking you ladies up next week for the orientation, okay?" Dinah says and receives a hum of agreement from us. It's Kehlani's first year also. I was gonna audition with dance but I decided to take Dinah's advice and go with music instead. I read my schedule to figure out what I need to pay attention to the most.

I have 2 classes with Dinah and all of my classes with Kehlani, which is good cause that girl is funny as shit but I feel like she's flirting with me. I promise I'm not flattering myself but I swear her and Dinah are all over me I'm still talking to Masi but I didn't tell him about me and Dinah's date/hangout. Not gonna lie if I was swinging that way I'd most definitely date Dinah, I mean the girl is hilarious and sweet and sensitive but at the same time she has this toughness and edge to her that low key gives me sinful thoughts.
But there's Kehlani and she has a great personality and she's smart as hell but she kind of has a short temper I mean Dinah does too but she'd rather argue back and forth meanwhile Kehlani is always ready for a fight. But when she's just chilling and being herself 100% her looks don't match her personality. The girls is covered with tattoos that screams idgaf but she is one of the sweetest people on this earth. She is protective of her friends and family but she also knows how to turn a bad situation into a laugh fest. I guess what I'm saying is she'd be on my radar too. But she'd have some stiff competition.

My alarm blares bringing me out of my peaceful slumber but waking up to Beyoncé isn't so bad. It's 9:30 am and I gotta get ready early since Dinah wants to take us to the 11:00 meeting. "God, why is beauty such a pain?" I groan getting in the shower.
"Fuuuck!!!" I scream as my back is met with freezing cold water, I quickly hop out buck naked and sit there hugging myself while my teeth chatter. I wait a good 5 minutes before hopping back in. After I finish my shower I work on my makeup for the day before going downstairs to fix my breakfast. After an awkward encounter with a fine dark skin dude walking out of Arielles room buttoning his pants, I head back upstairs to admire my outfit in its entirety.

I had just finished my makeup when I hear a horn outside of my window and look down to see Dinahs car sitting in front of my house. I kiss my dad goodbye and hug my mom before heading to her car I see Kehlani in the front so it leaves me with no other option but the backseat.
"Wow this is your house?" Kehlani asks staring out the window at my three story house, this is her first time being here, "I'm still in awe of your house," Dinah chimes in though this is her 3rd time being here she has never been inside.
"Thanks," I say before we start the trip to the school.
When we pull up in front of the big building I see a bunch of kids in a blue and gold outfits I didn't realize Dinah was wearing one also until we got out of the car.
"What's up with the blue and gold outfits around here?" I ask with a genuine curiosity.
"We are the guides and you'll be shadowing us today, I specifically asked for you guys so you'll feel comfortable and ask questions," She says with sly grin before leading us to a big auditorium decorated with blue and gold columns with a pack of wolves on the wall to the right of us. To the far left of us the wall is decorated with EOA in big and small letters of course in blue and gold.
She leads us to our seats and walks away before we could protest. My eyes follow her as she joins a group of people in the uniforms from earlier, "what do you think about the school so far?" Kehlani asks leaning back in her seat, "It's pretty but I wanna know what I'm getting out of a pretty school," I tell her with a shrug of my shoulders. She nods before muttering something under her breath.
"What's wrong?" I ask putting my hand in her thigh, "it's hot as hell in here. Are you hot?" She asks and I can't help but laugh, "You know... it's really not hot at all you're wearing a jacket and joggers for what reason?"
"Idk how they take to tattoos," She says referring to the artwork covering up her arms.
"Why don't you ask Dinah?" I question, "I don't want her looking at me like I'm stupid or something" she says whipping out her phone.
"Excuse me, excuse me please settle down," A man with well kept dreads says walking to the microphone on the stage waiting for everyone to quiet down. "I am pleased to meet each and every one of you young scholars," he says at the beginning of what feels like a 40 minute introduction. We eventually got to see the classes, some were in session already and when we got to the dance part of things I almost fainted at the sight of dancers of all races, sizes, and weight. Turns out I wasn't the only person in awe Kehlani to the left of me was basically paralyzed watching them. I think we fell in love at first sight.
After we finished our tour we decided to enjoy some food which Lani picked and called to place our order. When we arrived there she almost immediately ditched us to talk to some girl.
