A day in the life of Ramona Bane

 There was a gentle knocking on my door then my Father Magnus  entered "Honey me and Alec are really worried about you. You have been in there since  you got home yesterday you didn't eat dinner."

Of course it was Magnus, Alec my other Father wouldn't be calm enough to deal with me he always lets me do whatever I want . But magnus can tell me no and has the power to lock me in my room when I get grounded, though I am in here willingly I can't unsee what I saw the other day. I sighed, "I am fine daddy just scared for life is all."

I heard him laugh on the other side of the door before saying, "Can I come in?"

The thing I really like about my dads is they never come in without my permission,  "Yeah you can come in."

The door slowly crept open and my dad came in covered from head to toe in glitter I just rolled my eyes and said, "You look lovely today."

He smirked, "You really think so? Alec said I used to much glitter."

I laughed and said, "No, you look perfect"

He stopped to look in my mirror, "You're right I do. Anyway breakfast is done and you should probably get dressed."

I stood up from my bed, "Okay I'll get dressed can you tell dad to wait for me I will only be  a few minutes ?"

"Sure, my lovely girl" he said with a wave then left closing the door behind him.

I walked over to my bright orange dresser the color was my dad's idea I didn't like it though I like darker colors but that doesn't matter. I grabed my dark green tank-top and ripped blue jeans and through them on. I threw my black hair into a messy bun because I needed to wash it.

When I walked into the kitchen I heard Alec say, "Magnus, you're getting glitter everywhere do you really need to wear so much?"

"Yes I do, Otherwise I would be less than fabulous and I can not let that happen I am The High warlock of brooklyn,"  was Magnus' response

I sat down at the counter, "What's for breakfast?"

Alec Jumped when I spoke and Magnus laughed at him as he said,  " Waffles and eggs, Ramona dear."

I smiled, "Okay, I'll take two waffles and a scoop of eggs."  

The Waffles and eggs appeared on a plate in front of me and I immediately  started to eat.  After Alec finished he left for His sisters house because she had something wanted to tell him.

Magnus got a call and told me "Ramona no magic while doing the dishes they break when you try and I don't like replacing them. I have to go to the institute Max opened a portal with a ruin and can't close it."

I Stood up with my plate in hand,"He's a handful according to  Vivian. I will be here when you get back."

After I finished the dishes there was a knock on the door. I walked over to the door and opened it, "Hey, Vivian what brings you here?" 

Vivian smiled and my heart skipped a beat, "I saw Damien today, and you won't believe what happened," my chest hurt at the mention of his name I don't understand why. 

I smiled back at her,"Come in and spill." 

She sauntered in gleefully and sat down and I followed. After sitting down next to her she said, "So, I was eating breakfast with my mom and  Damien came in and said he needed to talk to me. Of course I thought he was going to break up with me and got super nervous, but then I realized how nervous he was. My mom laughed at his request and left the room. When he sat down he asked me if he did something to upset me because I left suddenly yesterday.  His question gave me the courage to ask why he wouldn't eat in front of me. He sighed when I asked and said he saw the question coming. He told me that he won't eat in front of me because he looks completely different when he eats. he said he looks more like a monster and less human and that he is afraid I won't like him anymore."

As she took a deep breath to continue I asked, "What did you tell him?"

Something in her eyes changed, "I asked him if he loved me and he instantaneously said 'yes' Then I told him that nothing could make my feelings for him change. He smiled at my answer when he leaned over to kiss me my Dad said 'I am going to stop you right there.' I laughed and Damien turned bright red and said 'I should probably  be leaving now' I smiled and kissed he cheek before he left and my dad cracked a joke about it and called your dad about max being an idiot."

 I sighed and asked, "Are you done yet?"

She laughed and her green eyes beamed, "Yeah, I am done now. How was your morning?"

"Same as usual,"I said in response

"Okay, well that is all I wanted to tell you Damien is waiting for me he wanted to take me on a date," She said as she stood up and walked towards the door.

Despite the stabbing pain in my chest I said, "Have fun."

"I will." she said as the door closed behind her.

I went back to my room and sat in front of the mirror my dad Magnus said he wouldn't teach me any major magic until I could hide my warlock mark which happens to be similar to his. I stared at my eyes in the mirror trying to change their color for what seemed like hours but I couldn't it is harder than I thought it could be.

There was a knock on my door fallowed by Alec asking, "What do you want for dinner?"

I walked over to the door opened it while saying, " Hi, dad how was your day?"

He smiled at me and said, "Isabelle made me lunch and I would prefer to get the taste out of my mouth, even Simon felt sorry for me. What did you do today?"

"My friend Vivian came over and talked about how her and Damien aren't fighting anymore." I said as I walked past him as I sensed a power greater than my own enter the house I new this presence was Magnus so when I got to the door I happily said, "Hi Daddy, did you scold Max?"   

"No, I left that to his mother." He said with a laugh

"Let me guess she took his Steele,"  I asked with a grin.

"I believe she did she was also lecturing him when I left," He quickly walked into the kitchen then asked, "What are we having for dinner my Ramona?" 

I walked into the kitchen, "How about Psito Brizola?"

Magnus smiled, "Excellent choice birthday girl," he turned to Alec, "Alexander will you help me?" 

Alec nodded, "You're sixteen now Ramona feel any different?"

"No I don't though I am sad that Vivian didn't say anything to me," as if on que the phone rang and I answered, "Hello, Bane residence who's calling?" 

"Hey Ramona, I feel like a really bad friend I didn't wish you a happy birthday earlier when I was over. I am sorry will you forgive me?" said Vivian from the other side of the phone.

I sighed, "Yeah I forgive you." 

I hung up the phone and walked back to the counter and sat down just as My dads finished cooking dinner.

After I finished I stood up to go to my room when Magnus asked, " Is something  wrong pumpkin?"

I turned around and answered with a question, "How did you know you were in love with dad?"

He just looked at me I could see  the confusion in his eyes, instead of waiting for his response I went to bed.

I am sorry for the delay in updating but I have been busy studying for my ACT.  There will most likely be another update next thursday. Thank you for reading I hope you enjoyed this update I know it  is longer than the others.
