Chapter 5
She's cold.
As cold as ice.
Maybe worse.
Its hard to tell to James.
They're back in their own time now.
In St. Mungos to be exact.
They're being examined by healers.
Albus next to him.
Every inch of them is being inspected.
Their mum is in the next room, she's been given a calming draught.
Next to her is Lily.
They're trying everything possible.
But they all know its hopeless.
She's long gone.
'She'll get to meet grandma Lily though', James thought.
'And grandpa James, and uncle Fred. And Teddy's parents. Too bad she can't ever come back. Or else Teddy would get to know so much about his parents and sh...she could live again.' His thoughts trail off and he can't bear to think of her.
Pretty soon more tears are falling down his cheeks.
"Ja...James?" Asks Albus, his voice is quavering, his eyes red.
He hasn't spoken a word since they got there.
James puts a hand on his little brothers shoulders and gives him a watery smile.
"I'm fine Al, don't worry."
In the next room their mother is siting on a chair next to her daughters bed, holding her hand.
There are tears falling down her face and she's holding a tissue in her other hand.

"Mummy? Can I go outside now?" Asks Lily, standing on her tippi toes, her hands behind her back and her face giving the most innocent look she can muster.
"Your not going to get muddy are you?"
It was Harry's birthday and they were going out to dinner as a family.
Lily was wearing a red sundress with fancy sandals and Ginny did not feel like getting this one dirty.
"Of course not. I would never do that." She says smiling.
"Oh alright. But only for a little while." Says Ginny putting the last of the the dishes in the sink.
"Yay! Thank you." She screams running outside.
Half an hour later the whole family was in the living room, fixing them selves up so that they can at least look presentable in a restaurant. Except one family member was missing.
"Where's Lily?" Asks Teddy as he walks in from the kitchen.
"Last I saw her she was outside." Pipes in James. Ginny goes to the door and looks out
"Lily? Where are you?"
"Over here! Hold on!" The next thing Ginny sees is a red and brown blob making its way to the door.
"Did I get any mud on me?" Asks Lily when she gets to the door. She was covered head to toe in mud, her dress ruined.
"No. None at all." Says Ginny laughing as she waves her wand over the dress making it good as new.
"Now come on or we're going to be late."
