Chapter 7
"Do you think that mom and dad are going to get divorced?" Asks Albus one night.
The brothers are in James room, their parents are in the kitchen shouting.
This statement had taken James by surprise alright.
"Divorce? I highly doubt that. They love each other to death." He says giving his brother a side hug, not believing his own words.
James wakes up in the middle of the night to a door closing.
He realizes that he is drenched in sweet and decides to freshen up before he goes back to bed.
Its not until he looks in the mirror that he realizes how bad he looks.
His eyes are red and dark.
His face pale and his usually muscular build is no longer there.
He looked through the cabinet under he sink until he found what he was looking for.
His hand brushing by one of Lily's old hair brushes.
It was a light pink with the lyrics to her favorite song at the time, It's Time by imagine dragons, scratched into the handle.
He gently puts it down before taking out his dads old pocket knife.
Every year the family would go on a muggle camping trip, his dad would refuse to use magic for anything. Claiming that they needed the fresh air. Though, occasionally James would catch his mother being completely fed up of it.
At times like those his dad would always put a soothing arm around her. Calming her temper in no time.
Shaking out of his thoughts, James grabs the pocket knife and opens it.
He remembers her lying pale and cold.
A single white lily laying between her fingeres.
This is all my fault.
Entirely my fault.
If only I had listened to dad.
Why didn't I listen.
Now she's dead.
And its all my fault.
Slash.
