A series of unfortunate events

Part 4

Curiosity
A word meaning a strong desire to know or learn something. Curiosity can tear you apart into pieces or make you smarter than anyone else.

All the children felt a feeling of curiosity when they found this land.

113 miles back were Count Olaf and his henchmen looking for the children. " how are we going to find them boss?" asked one of the henchman. "We just will." Count Olaf Said with a mischievous voice and a slight smirk.

They scanned the area, looking for anything abnormal. And then they saw something, a flying car.
It flew right over their heads, and then more followed with sirens.
"Hahaha!!!" They heard in the distance. "Are you guys here to visit?" said a man with a badge and a belt with weapons. "No, but we might have some questions."

Now this man looked like the kindest man on the planet. He had a very curly mustache, pretty plump, and had a coffe and donut in his two hands.

He takes them to the main center of this 'villiage'.
They ask away at a desk he takes him too.
"H-has anyone here set a fire on a building"  said Klaus. This room made him nervous because it was dark and Count Olaf could jump out at any moment.
"Yes many have." Said the man with the badges.
"Do any of them have a tattoo on their ankle."  said Violet , as if she knew the answer.
"Yes many of them do." Said the man.
Then Duncan wanted to ask the next question saying " Did they all—!" The man with a badge interiors him saying " only two! Two is the magic number in this town. Two restaurants two people per cell, etc. If you want me to answer more questions you will have to come back tomorrow."
They said thank you to the man and left to see any evidence of the symbol of V.F.D.

They found nothing, they went back to the mobile home and sat down.
It was about 3:00 in the afternoon. They haven't had lunch yet and they were starving.

They took the food from one of the sacks on the side and had the best lunch they have had in a long time.

Count Olaf was on there trail. He saw the mobile home clearly, or as clearly as he could see it, and went full speed ahead.

"Darling, could you slow down a bit, I'm about to be sick." Said Izme with a fake smile.
" Darling, darling, darling. Don't you see, if you get sick, that isn't permanent, but a giant fortune with a bunch of sapphires will last us forever!" He said with an evil and mischievous tone.

They stop the car. They all get out. "Time to do your thing darling!" Said Count Olaf to Izme.

"Costuuuuuumes!!!!!" Izme said with a high pitched voice. She throwing out the costumes and they all ultimently picked a cop costume.

Izme picked her old costume and they all copied her, or was inspired by her.

"Ok then" Said Count Olaf with a nod, "we shall all be cops, except me, I will be Detective Dupin, and we will all find those orphans!"

While Count Olaf and his crew were conducting a plan, the Baudelaires and the Quagmires were discussing what they should do next.
"Count Olaf will be here soon to steal our fortune so we need to stay the night, go ask the questions, and imediatly leave!" said Violet.
