ecstatic, a word meaning feeling or expressing a overwhelming feel of happiness or joy. Later on, this word will be used, it will give you a slice of hope. Don't use it.
"Oslac" says Sunny. "He's coming!" Says Violet. They all get into their positions. Violet pretending to chew gum aggressively, Duncan sitting in the back doing push-ups, Isadora and Klaus pretending to be a rock hard couple, and Sunny pacing around the door of the cell growling. Not so surprisingly, their acting was better than Count Olaf's.
Count Olaf walks by, "who are these freaks?" He asks. "Oh this is the smith family. They just got here a couple days ago, apparently they stole a bunch of money from a bank." The officer says. He winks at them. "Are they mean?" He asks. "Yes, very mean." The officer says. "What are the-" " No more questions, only two!" The officer says. "Fine." Count Olaf says with a mean tone. He walks off. Paying attention to the sell with the orphans in it.Once the officer knows that Olaf is out of sight, he goes up to the orphans, " that went well" he says with a gleeful smile. "Too well," Says Klaus.
Once they knew that the coast was clear, they changed into their regular clothes and walked out of the jail. They were determined to find out what this place was, and nothing was going to stop them.
Or so they thought.
As for the orphans, they didn't know that Olaf would not stop until he would get the Baudelaire's fortune, until his last dying breath.
I want you to know that when you hear the words "you will know everything", or "our story is about to end", something unfortunate will always come. The Baudelaire's and the Quagmires will always have twist and turns in their story. It will always be unfortunate, there are no good happy endings in this story.
As Olaf was trying to figure out why the criminals in the cell looked awfully familiar, the orphans were trying to find evidence of anything about VFD, or their parents.
They looked in the local town library."I don't see anything!" Klaus yells, walking around frustrated. "Me either" violet and Duncan say at the same time. Isadora silently reading book title after book title, while Sunny was trying to find pieces of something important around the library.
"There has to be something, there just has to be! We haven't ridden all this way for some lousy old book about donuts and police cell lock mechanics!" He yells, almost breaking.
As for Klaus Boadelaire, he is a very emotional male. He wants to be as daring as his parents, and as clever as them. He wants them to be proud of his accomplishments. He wants to show them that he would do anything for them, even if they are dead. All of the orphans are feeling the same thing, regret and a feeling of disappointment to their guardians. They felt as if they haven't been doing enough.
Almost nothing to their eyes.
For two straight day and nights the read and search,
Read
And
Search.
Until..
"Found something!" Isadora says ecstatically.
All of them sprint towards the desk Isadora was tiredly sitting at until this moment, as she was now standing up in excitement. "All the chapters start with words that begin with VFD!" She says, "chapter 1: how to clean Very Fancy Doilies, chapter 2: how to cook a Vietnamese Famous Dessert, chapter 3: love in a very furnished deadly house, and the list goes on!"
"Ok this is what we are going to do," Klaus says, " we are going to check out that book, and leave this place before Count Olaf-"
