"Stay. Please." He was practically begging Monse.
She tripped slightly with her hand still on the door knob. "Cesar are you okay?"
Anyone could tell that he was in desperate need of comfort. He tried to keep a straight face but the second that she walked over to lay her hand on his shoulder, tears rolled down rapidly.
"It's all my fault. It's my fault! I should've killed Latrelle when I had the chance. I fucked up, Monse." He sobbed as he pulled Monse into an intimate hug.
She didn't know what to do, so she caressed his hair with her dainty hands. "It's not your fault. Don't blame yourself."
"Then whose fault is it?" He snapped back quickly. "Latrelle's? Ruby's? Jamal's?!"
She shook her head vigorously. "No, Cesar that's not what I mean,"
"It's my fault." He looked up at Monse with crystallized eyes. The obvious tears threatened to fall from his eyes.
She buried her face into his chest and sobbed with him. "Don't do that to yourself."
He lifted her chin up and locked eyes with her. Both of them were emotional wrecks, sobbing over the two unconscious bodies of Ruby and Olivia. Cesar slowly leaned forward and puled her into a long, passionate kiss. Monse had kissed Cesar plenty of times, but he'd never kissed her like this before. She was stunned and caught off guard by his act but played along.
She placed her hand on his neck for support. But then stopped herself. "I'm not going to do this with you like this. Not here, at least." She pointed at Olivia's body which was twitching ever so slightly.
Cesar nodded silently. "I'm sorry, you're right." His accent shows when he apologizes, Monse loves his accent.
She turned around and laid her hand on the door knob when Cesar hastily grabbed her hand, puller her towards him.
"What are you doing?" She questioned, trying to create space between their bodies.
"Come home with me. Take my mind off of this." He begged once again.
"What the hell? No. My Dad will murder me. Good night, Cesar." She tried to open the door once again but Cesar pulled her back.
"Monse, please. We don't need to do anything you don't want to do. I just want you to talk to me. Clear my mind, please." His eyes crystallized once again, making him look vulnerable.
She couldn't resist him when he was like this. He needed her. After a short banter with herself about whether or not she should go home with Cesar, she decided that she would.
"Okay, I'll go."

He walked beside her closely. Walking through Freeridge alone at night is never a good idea. It was a silent walk, but comforting.
When they arrived to Cesar's house, Monse walked through the door casually. But the second she walked into their living room, she saw Oscar gathering up his gun stash.
"What are you doing here hyna?" He smirked.
"Nothing that will concern you." Cesar smiled before swiftly hanging his arm around Monse's shoulder and escorting her into his room.
She sat down awkwardly on his bed, looking up at him. He leaned on the door and stared down at her.
"So... What do you wanna talk about?" She asked, crinkling her upper lip.
He tilted his head in confusion before clearing his throat. "Anything, really."
She looked up at the ceiling and started to think about conversation starters.
He sat down beside Monse on the bed, making her slightly uncomfortable. "Is it alright if we don't talk?"
She stiffened once again, for some reason - Cesar had that kind of power against her.
"What do you mean?" She asked.
"Can we just lay down? Knowing you're here with me is comforting enough." He said it so calmly, which really surprised Monse.
"U-Uh.. Sure, I guess that's okay."
She laid down on the bed, expecting him to sleep on the floor. But he didn't. He laid down beside her. Silence filled the room. They both could feel the awkwardness creeping into the room.
Just when Monse was about to get up and leave, she felt Cesar's hand slowly latch onto hers.
"What are you doing?"
"What both of us wanted to do in the first place."
Hey guys, sorry for such a short chapter , again -- Like I said last time, I just wanted to see how many people will read my book when I start properly writing it.
