Chapter 7| Quidditch

"Good Morning" Pansy said. "Hello." I said. "Today's the quidditch game come on, it's Gryffindor .VS. Slytherin!" She said.  I got up and put on my clothes and my scarf. "We're going to eat some breakfast first, coming?" She said. "Duh, if it's food I'm in!" I said.

"Cool hurry, they're already eating!" She said racing towards the door. We reached the Great Hall to see everyone eating breakfast, many quidditch players were engulfing all of the food except for Harry. "I'll be right back, save me a seat" I said. "Hey guys" i said.  "Hey Y/N What's up" Ron said.

"Nothing much, just came to eat" I said. "Why aren't you eating Harry, you should be you have a game today" I said. "I'm not really hungry" he said. "Well shouldn't you at least try to eat, just a little" I said. "I'm really fine don't worry about me, you can go an eat" he said touching my hand.

"Okay then, I'll see you guys at the game!" I said. "See ya" they said. "What was that all about?" Pansy asked. "Nothing, just catching up" I said. "Okay, so I have a question for you" Pansy said.

"Shoot!" I said. "What were you and Draco doing in the library yesterday?" She asked. "I was just chatting with him, nothing serious, why do you ask" I said. "Just wondering" she said letting out a breath. "Does someone like Malfoy" I said poking her arm.

"No.. who!" She said. "You apparently, don't worry about me, I don't like him like that" I said. "Yeah, but he does" she said. "Well even if he does it's never gonna happen, I don't like anyone, especially not draco" I said snarling my nose. "Hey" she said punching my arm.

"And you obviously do, it's clear as water" she said. "Oh yeah, who then?" I said. "Potter!" She said. "No, he's just my friend" I said eating bacon. "Oh yeah, Okay!!" She said.

"Pansy! I don't like Harry and he doesn't like me!" I said. "Look, you may not see each other often or talk to each other much, but you can tell that when you're around him you're genuinely happy" she said smiling. "I'm always happy" I said. "Yeah, but not like you're with Harry" she said. "It's not even there with your.. sister, it's like he is the shhnlight in your darkness, shining a radiant light" she said.

"That was so corny" I said. "Yeah, but it's true!" She said. "Whatever, believe what you want!" I said. "Okay" she said. I looked over and saw Harry talking to Hermione and Ron and it looked serious.

I saw the words Snape and limp, but couldn't read the rest. "See you're staring!" She said. "Pansy, sat your food" I said as she giggled.

~Time Skip~

"Hello, and welcome to Hogwarts' first Quidditch game of the season! Today's game Slytherin versus Gryffindor!!!" Lee Jordan exclaimed." The players take their positions as Madam Hooch steps out onto the field to begin the game." He said. " Now, I want a nice clean game...from all of you." Madam Hooch said glaring at the Slytherin team. "The bludgers are up...followed by the Golden Snitch. Remember, the snitch is worth 150 points. The seeker who catches the Snitch ends the game." Lee said excited.  The golden snitch is released and zooms into the air and out of sight as do the buldgers.

Madam Hooch throws the quaffle up as Lee Jordan says "The Quaffle is released...and the game begins!". Gryffindor takes a starting lead by taking the quaffle. "Angelina Johnson scores! 10 points for Gryffindor!" Lee says, I start to clap before Pansy grabs hold of my hands. I saw a buldger go right past Harry's head almost hitting him. " Slytherin takes possession of the Quaffle. Bletchley passes to Captain Marcus Flint." He says.

"Yes!" Pansy says. There was lots of passing as Gryffindor takes hold of the ball again.
"Another 10 points to Gryffindor!" Lee shouts. It looked as though Flint had enough with the game and grabbed a beaters bat and hit Oliver with a buldger. Oliver falls and Slytherin scores.

Slytherin scores once more as Harry races off after the snitch. I then see Harry's broom messing up. Hermione, Hagrid, and Ron start talking. I see Ron and Hermione leave the booth. "I'll be right back" I said.

"Where are you going?" Pansy asked. "Don't worry I'll be back" i said following Ron and Hermione. I walk under the stands and see Hermione and Ron walking towards me. "Y/N! What're you doing?" Hermione asks. "Seeing what you two are doing" I said.

"Snape is jinxing Harry's broom so we're going to distract him so he'll stop the spell, now come on hurry!" She said. I followed behind Ron as Hermione put her wand on Shapes cloak. "Lacarnum Inflamarae" she said. Snapes cloak went up in flames and we heard many Professors exclaim. As they got the flames out Ron, Hermione, Hagrid, and I ran out to watch the rest.

Harry ramed the Slytherin Seeker, then was butted out. He returned, smashing the Seeker again as the Snitch dives. The boys follow, but they approach the ground quickly. The Slytherin Seeker backs out, and Harry pulls up his broom as he follows the Snitch, feet above the ground. Harry stands up, and steps forward, trying to grab the ball.

He goes too far, and topples off the broom with a yelp, tumbling on the ground. As us four headed out to the field we saw Harry lurch up something in his hands. He then looked at his hands, smiled, and held the snitch. "He's got the Snitch! Harry Potter receives 150 points for catching the Snitch!" Lee exlaimes. "Gryffindor wins!" Hooch says.

The crowd starts cheering "Go go Gryffindor! Go go Gryffindor! Go go Gryffindor! Go go Gryffindor!" As I join in I feel about four Slytherins grab me and walk me out. I sat in the common room for about an hour waiting for the right time to leave. "Go ahead, they aren't out there, you can go quickly" Pansy said. "Oh my God, thank you so much Pansy, I owe you!" I said kissing her cheek and running out. I ran to the Gryffindor common room and knocked on the portrait door.

I smile seeing Hermione answer the door. "Y/N, what're you doing here" she said. "I wanted to talk to Harry for a minute" I said. " Oh,  you want to come in" she said. "No, just see if he'll come outside" I said.

"Okay" she said leaving me in the hall. I saw the door open and out walked Harry. "Hey, Hermione said you wanted to talk" he said. "Yeah, I just wanted to congratulate you on your win. Slytherin team wouldn't allow it so I just snuck out" I say. "Oh, well thank you. You probably shouldn't be sneaking out though, especially right now, with the teacher an all" he said.

"Yeah, but I just wanted to say Congrats, not a big deal but you were great" I said hugging him. "Thanks, is that all?" He said. "Yeah, I guess" I said giggling. "Well I'll see you" i said. "Hey, Y/N!" He said. 

"Yeah?" I asked. "Me, Hermione, and Ron are going to see Hagrid tomorrow if you want to come" he said. "Sure, just come get me before you go" I said smiling. "Goodnight, Y/N" he said. "Goodnight, Harry" I replied smiling ear to ear.
