Chapter 8| Fluffy

The next morning I met with Harry, Ron, and Hermione in the halls. "Come on, I think I saw Hagrid walking out !" Ron said.  We caught up with Hagrid he was walking down a path by himself. "Hagrid!" Hermione yelled. "We think that Snape was the one who cursed Harry's broom." Ron said.

"Nonsense. Why would Snape put a curse on Harry's broom?" Hagrid said. " Who knows. Why was he trying to get past that 3 headed dog on Halloween?" Harry said. " Who told you 'bout Fluffy?" Hagrid said. "Fluffy?" Ron said "That thing has a name?" Hermione said

" Well, of course he's got a name. He's mine. I bought him off an Irish feller I met down at the pub last year. Then I lent him to Dumbledore to guard the.." Hagrid said stopping.  "Yes?" Harry said. " Shouldn'ta said that. Don't ask any more questions. That's top secret, that is." Hagrid said. " But Hagrid, whatever Fluffy's guarding, Snape's trying to steal it!" Harry said.   "Codswallop. Professor Snape is a Hogwarts teacher."Hagrid said.

"Hogwarts teacher or not, I know a curse when I see one. I've read all about them. You have to keep eye contact. And Snape wasn't blinking." Hermione said firmly. "Exactly!" I said. "Now, you listen to me, all three of you. You're meddlin' in things that ought not to be meddled in. It's dangerous. What that dog is guarding is strictly between Professor Dumbledoreand Nicholas Flamel." Hagrid said. "Nicholas Flamel?" I asked.
"I shouldn't have said that. I should not have said that. I should not have said that." Hagrid said walking into his hut.

"Nicholas Flamel...Who's Nicholas Flamel?" Harry said. "I don't know." I said. "Well I bet if we go to the library we could find something on him" Hermione said. "Do all of your plans involve books" I said. "Lets go!" She said.

~Time Skip~

"We've looked through all of these books where else could it be" I said. "The restricted section!" She Hermione said. "We can't go in there!" Ron said. "I know but it's the only place we haven't looked." She said.

"And me and Y/N can't do it we're going home for christmas" she said. "I don't think I'm going Hermione" I said. "What why?" She asked. "Well, technically, I'm not a Granger,  im a Riddle, so that'd be like inviting Harry or Ron!" I said. "You're my sister and you're going home with me" she said.

"I don't feel.." I started. "I know you don't feel welcomed there,  but you're my sister and it won't be Christmas without you!" She said. "Fine, I'll pack later" I said. "Thank you, so much" she said hugging me. I went up to my room and started to pack.

"I thought you were staying here?" Pansy said. "No, I'm going to with Hermione" I said. "Oh, right your sister?"She said. "Yes" I said. "Cool, have fun I guess" she said.

"Yeah, okay, it's not a big party over there so I'm not gonna be doing much" I said. "I know but I'm going home it's not fun over there either, so I was going to stay here of you were going to" she said. "I wish I could but Hermione wants me there, that's the only reason I'm going" I said closing my suitcase. "What's wrong with your place, they're your actual family after all" i Said.

"Its just been odd lately, my parents are fighting again, so technically I have a better family here than there" she said a tear dropping down her face. I wiped off the tear and hugged her. "I'm sure it'll be fine in the end" I said smiling. She smiled and hugged me again. "You're probably right, I'm going to go home and enjoy their company" she said smiling.

"I'm going to head into the lounge area, coming?" I said. "No, I'm going to start my packing, and thanks" she said. "You're welcome anytime!" I said doing finger guns. I walked to the lounge to see Crabbe and Goyle eating brownies, and cookies, and basically a buffet. "Hey guys, whatcha doing" I said.

"Eating!" Goyle said his mouth full of chocolate. "Oh, of course" I said sitting down. "Anything new?" I asked. "No, we're usually with draco and he doesn't talk about much of anything new" Crabbe said. "Well, that's cool, I guess, I don't know I'm not very social" I said.

"Well you're with Harry, Ron, and Hermione" Crabbe said. "Well yeah they're my friends and she's my sister, so I can say anything around them" I replied. "Oh, that makes sense" He said. "Well Draco talks about you alot" Goyle says. Crabbe nudges Goyle and gives him a glare.

"Oh, he does, is it bad talk or like he's my friend talk" I said. "Neither" Crabbe said. "Lets go Goyle" he says grabbing all of the sweets and running up the stairs.

"Hey Y/N!" Draco says. "Oh... hey" I say. "What's up, you seem nervous" he said. "Oh nothing, I've gotta go, I promised Hermione I'd meet her in the library so we could study" I said heading for the door. "Oh okay have fun" draco says.

"Yeah" I said shutting the door. I ran to the library and saw Hermione was the only one there and took the chance. "Hermione, I need to talk.. boy talk" I said sitting down.
