"ME. I'm sorry but you're a bloody fool if you think that I'm in the wrong. You and you're a group of minions need to stop preying on the innocent. You walk around the school halls like you own this place..." I had moved as far away from Sebastian as I could, knowing there was no way I could leave the room, since Sebastian had placed a chair in front of the door, to prevent anyone opening it from the other side.

"Darling, that's because I do own this place. Do you know who I am, who my family is?" Sebastian's fists clenched and his body stiff as he took steps towards me, taunting me. Of course, I knew who his family was but I refused to say anything as I looked at the door helplessly.

"Why the hell are you like this Sebastian?" My voice was a lot softer as I stared at Sebastian, who abruptly stopped, eyebrows scrunching in confusion. I knew about Sebastian's family and like mine, it wasn't perfect like they made it out to be. I was 14 when the King's held a birthday party for Sebastian, it was a grand celebration, everyone looked in awe at the perfect family. I, however, happen to stumble upon the crack in their family. What I saw was shocking, to say the least, Mr King's hand raised as he struck his young son, Sebastian- with so much force that he stumbled back. I never spoke of that moment and I pitied the boy who stayed on the floor, tears rolling down his cheek. I remember his father taunting him. "get up boy. You're pathetic and weak just like your mother.", the look on the young Sebastian's face was one I never forgot. Helpless and defeated.

"Give me your arm." I was so lost in my thoughts I didn't realise Sebastian stood in front of me. My expression was one of shock as Sebastian took hold of my arm gently as if the mere force would break it. He stared at it for a long time and when his gaze finally met mine, I saw the regret in them. I hissed in pain, causing Sebastian to abruptly let go of my arm. It was then I realised the person in front of me did have emotions.

"You should go to the nurse get it checked." That's all Sebastian King said as he turned his back storming the room.

"Ella," Lotus mumbled quietly, as both she and Jack stared at me both mirroring the same shocked expression. I, however, stood frozen not knowing what just happened.

"I'll be back." I sprinted outside after Sebastian. I was angry and confused, he left me frustrated and alone as he walked down the halls.

" Sebastian," I yelled spotting him about to leave the school building. Sebastian's step halted but he refused to turn back around and when I did catch up to him I found myself speechless as his intense blue eyes swimming with emotions snapped to me.

"I...I" Lost for words, I stood frozen, I had no idea why I ran after him. Sebastian sighed turning back around as he continued to walk outside the school building.

" Don't get in my way, Ella. You'll only end up getting more hurt." There was something about the way Sebastian spoke those words, that I couldn't get them out of my head. Sebastian King ruled the school but when he spoke those words to me it held so much self-hate and loneliness that I couldn't even say or do anything.

I stood still watching him walk away as if nothing had happened. I felt his emotions every single one of them as our gazes connected and there was something that frightened me, there was darkness in his eyes as if a monster lived inside of him.

"Lotus. You okay?" I knew she stood behind me, her eyes widened in shock as if she couldn't believe what had just happened. I saw the disappointment in her eyes as she stared at me.

"I'm sorry. I know you are angry that I followed behind him...."

" Ella, I don't care what you did. It's what he did, he... he just spoke and looked at you like you were his saviour. Ella, he looked at you as if he wanted you to save him from himself." Lotus spoke with such modesty that I found myself believing her.

But I knew I couldn't save someone when I needed saving myself.
