"El I'm so sorry." Mike practiced in front of a mirror
"That's not going to get her back." Nancy commented from the chair behind him, flipping through a magazine.
"No one asked for your opinion." Mike replied.
"You need my help." she said with a grin.
"No," Mike said, "I really don't." With that he ran out the front door. He knew where he needed to go, El's house.

Knock Knock Knock
El had just heard the secret knock and opened the door. To her surprise, Mike was there, not Hopper.
"Hey Mike,I'm sorry about earli-" she said before getting interrupted by a hug from Mike.
"No, I'm sorry." he said
"Why?" she asked, pulling away from the hug.
"Because I should have handled the situation better." he said looking down at his feet. "I didn't know you thought you could hold hands with anyone, I should have explained that to you."
"Mike, that's not your fault." she said.
"I'm sorry." he said again.
Trying to find a way to break the silence, El looked around the room only to find a box of Eggos in Mike's hand.
"Mike, you brought Eggos?" she said giggling.
"Yeah," he said blushing, "Dustin told me they make everything better."
"They do." she said giggling again. "Maybe if you wanted to share, you could come in and watch E.T. with me." A smile met Mike's face.
"Of course." he said.

Hopper did they secret knock at 5:30. No answer. He knew that she would be mad that he was late but he didn't think that she would completely ignore him.
"Come on kid." he mumbled.
He saw a open window at the side of the house at peered in only to see Mike and El asleep on the couch, E.T. playing in the background.
'Young love .' he thought.
