Chapter Five
"The last night I felt so afraid was that night in the hospital."
^~^
"How was school?" Luke asked me with a smile. At the current moment, I am walking home with Luke.
"Great." I said sarcastically.
"So what do you think of class prez?"
"He's a conniving shadow king." I say, perfectly content with my answer.
"What? But he's the princely, charming type!" He exclaims.
"Sure..."
"I thought you liked him."
"What? Seriously?"
He nods.
"Why?"
"I thought you guys got to choose your partners."
"As if. No one would pick me anyway."
"Kay, just forget what I said, but you did smile at him." Luke smirked.
"Did not."
"Did too."
"Did not."
"Did too.
"Did not."
"Did too and you know it, Ame."
I sighed, "Aren't you supposed to pay attention in class?"
"Who says I do?" He smiled. "You never know. My friends and I might've been stalking you guys. By the way, I never knew you played so many instruments."
Just as we were about to turn the corner onto our street, I heard a squeal and a high pitched scream. Something splattered onto my cheek. I put my hand to my cheek to wipe the liquid off. It was bright red.
I turned around to see two cars crashed into each other and a lady on the floor. Her arm was sliced off and she was losing consciousness fast.
I ran to her, "Luke, call 911."
He quickly took out his phone and called as I took off my jacket and firmly pressed it to the lady's shoulder.
I checked her pulse. Good, she's still alive. "Luke, did you call?" I asked.
"Yeah, they're on their way."
"Can you look after her? I'm gonna look for more crashees."
"Kay."
I checked for any other people. One of the cars looked somewhat like dad's black Cadillac and the other was a white Prius. I saw red. Blood splattered everywhere. The vibrant red was especially visible on the white car. I looked at the Cadillac. In the windows I saw-
"Dad!" He was unconscious and blood dripped from his nose. I yanked open the car door which was, thankfully, intact. Please be alive. I know you hate me but I can't have another family member die. I dragged him out and checked his pulse. Still alive.
Wait, if he's here then there's a possibility Angie and Sora might be here too. I opened the doors. As suspected, Angie was in the front seat and Sora in the back. Both were unconscious. I brought them out of the car and next to Dad. I checked to see if they were still breathing and was assured that no one in my household was dead.
"Luke." I said.
"What?" He looked up from the woman he was watching. He had already taken off his jacket to stop the blood.
"Angie, Dad, and Sora were in the crash."
"What?! Seriously?! How are they?!" He exclaimed, obviously worried.
